In addition to their new up to triple points promo, IHG One Rewards is also trying to incentivize stays before the end of the year by offering double elite night credits, with up to 10 bonus elite night credits being available.
Even if this wouldn’t have any meaningful impact on your status with IHG, their Milestone Rewards might make this worth considering.

- The “Up to 10 Bonus Elite Night Credits” promotional offer (the “Offer”) provides you with an opportunity to earn one “Bonus Elite Night Credit” for each Offer-Qualifying Room Night stayed during the Offer Period, up to a maximum of ten (10) Bonus Elite Night Credits. For each “Bonus Elite Night Credit” you earn under the Offer, you will be credited with an additional Elite Qualifying Night for purposes of determining Elite membership status and Milestone Rewards earned under the IHG One Rewards program in 2025.
- “Bonus Elite Night Credits” do not qualify as Rollover Nights or as Qualifying Nights for any other purpose or benefit under the IHG One Rewards program.
- To participate in this Offer, you must be an IHG One Rewards member and must be invited to participate. After receiving an invitation, you must register your member number in advance in order to be eligible for the Offer.
- Members can pre-register for this Offer between September 15 and September 30, 2025 (the ‘Pre-Registration Period’). The “Promotion Period” is from October 1, 2025, through December 31, 2025. Members who did not register during the Pre-Registration Period may register for the Offer during the Promotion Period. A member can only register once. The member must register before completing any stays during the Promotion Period in order for them to count towards the Offer. By registering for the Offer, a member is accepting these Terms and Conditions.
- After registering, a member can earn up to a maximum of ten (10) Bonus Elite Night Credits under this Offer, as follows: one (1) Bonus Elite Night Credit will be awarded to the member’s IHG One Rewards account after each Offer-Qualifying Room Night stay during the Promotion Period. For example, if a member has stays that result in a total of three (3) Offer-Qualifying Room Nights during the Promotion Period, the member would earn three (3) Bonus Elite Night Credits. These Bonus Elite Night Credits are in addition to any base Elite Qualifying Nights the member earns for their stays. As a result, in the above example, in addition to the three (3) Bonus Elite Night Credits, the member would also be credited with three (3) base Elite Qualifying Nights, effectively giving the member credit for 6 Elite Qualifying Nights towards earning Elite status and Milestone Rewards in 2025. To be an “Offer-Qualifying Room Night” under this Offer, the room night must fall within the Promotion Period and must be part of a Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stay. As noted above, the “Promotion Period” is from October 1, 2025, through December 31, 2025. Room nights outside of the Promotion Period are not included, and room nights that are part of a stay that was completed prior to registration for the Offer also are not included.
- For purposes of this Offer, a “Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stay” is defined as a minimum one (1) night stay at a participating hotel booked under a Qualifying Rate with total spend exceeding USD $30 (or local currency equivalent) for each night. Participating hotels include all IHG Hotels & Resorts, with the exception of those Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas and Iberostar Beachfront Resorts that do not participate in the IHG One Rewards program. Stays booked using Reward Nights or Points & Cash are not Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stays for purposes of this Offer. Bookings made through on-line travel agencies or other reservation sites such as booking.com or expedia.com also do not qualify under this Offer.
Quick Thoughts
For someone who’s close to earning a meaningful status level, this promotion could be useful in reaching that next tier.
Even if you’re not shooting for status though, this promotion might be worth considering. That’s because IHG launched Milestone Rewards a few years ago as part of the revamp of its IHG One Rewards loyalty program. Milestone Rewards start at 20 elite nights, with that initial tier including the ability to select a Confirmable Suite Upgrade. Even if you’re starting from scratch with IHG stays this year, staying 10 nights on a paid rate during the offer dates will earn you a total of 20 elite night credits.
Bear in mind that only paid rates of $30+ booked directly with IHG are eligible; award stays, stays booked with free night certificates and Points + Cash stays are all excluded.
This might be a targeted promotion, but it’s worth trying to register anyway. The terms listed in the email state that you have to be invited, but you might be able to register even if you didn’t receive an email.
