Loyalty Lobby reported a few days ago on a great Marriott development: you can now filter search results to show only properties that feature a club lounge. That’s a time-saver for those who have Platinum status or higher and want to find properties where their status can get them access to the lounge.
This is helpful for a number of reasons.
First of all, as a family traveler, there are times when I appreciate or know that I will benefit from access to snacks and drinks for the kids during the day. There are also times when I’ll seek out a property with a club lounge that might be able to offer a substitute for dinner so that we can focus on finding a big lunch while out and about and count on a low-key evening at the hotel to wind down or perhaps we want to splurge on a more expensive dinner one night and be able to get by at the lounge another night. Furthermore, since I am often working after my kids go to bed, I appreciate those opportunities to access a lounge in the evening to have a cup of coffee and a comfortable place to work.
In the past, I had to search property-by-property to see if they sold rooms with executive lounge access and then further pay close attention to the myriad of exceptions where I might not get access.
As you can see above, Marriott now offers a filter option to show properties with an elite member lounge. I love that because it should filter out properties where elite members don’t get access to the lounge (such as at Ritz-Carlton properties) while helping you narrow down your search to those with the elite benefit available.
As a reminder, Marriott Platinum elite members and higher get lounge access at most properties with a lounge. The main exception is at Ritz-Carlton properties, where elite members do not get lounge access. We have occasionally seen other properties with niche exceptions like the St. Pancras Renaissance (which I believe has now closed the once-fantastic lounge in the Chambers Wing, though Platinum members did not have access to that lounge unless upgraded to the Chambers Wing).

maybe they’re still tagging hotels that have clubs/lounges but i did i test run of the caribbean and i found one that ive been to missing
