Amazon: Save 40% when redeeming at least 714 Membership Rewards points (Targeted)

Amazon is back with a new pay-with-points promotion, whereby targeted members can save when using American Express Membership Rewards points to make a purchase. This time, you need to redeem at least $5 worth of Amex points (714 points). We have sometimes seen varying targeted deals on offer, so it’s worth checking to see whether you have an offer and what it is.

• Amazon.com is offering a new targeted deal to receive a 40% discount when using at least 714 Membership Rewards points during checkout.

Terms

• This is a limited time offer. The promotion will end on the earlier of (a) 5:00 pm PT on 12/31/2025 or (b) the time at which 46,647 customers have redeemed the offer. The promotion button will expire at the same time as the offer.
• This offer is for 40% off (up to $60 total discount) on the purchase of eligible products. Maximum benefit you may receive from this offer is $60 off per eligible Membership Rewards-enrolled Card or per one Amazon account.

Quick Thoughts

Personally, both my wife and I got targeted for 40% off up to $40 off this time, which is a deal that we’ll certainly use since we shop at Amazon all the time. While the terms indicate that this deal can not be used in conjunction with other deals, we often find that it does indeed stack with things like Prime Day deals or Black Friday when those happen concurrently.

It’s worth hitting the “activate” button sooner rather than later since you never know when the deal might get pulled.

Additionally, it’s crucial to note that you should not use more points than the minimum required for the deal. Using Amex points to pay at Amazon.com offers very poor value for your points.
