At the end of 2024, World of Hyatt agreed to a “strategic joint venture” with Grupo Piñero to integrate 22 different Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts into the program.
Earlier this week, over a year after the initial announcement, Hyatt announced that Bahia Principe would finally go live in its Inclusive Collection in March. This means that, unlike many recent additions that feature dynamic pricing, Bahia Principe would be added to Hyatt’s all-inclusive award chart and will be the 38th distinct brand in World of Hyatt

Quick Thoughts
It’s always nice to have more options in World of Hyatt, and it’s fun to have another brand to explore as well. That said, Bahia Principe’s footprint completely overlaps Hyatt’s existing all-inclusive options, so there aren’t any new or interesting locations here (from what I can tell).
There seem to be three main variants: Fantasia, Grand, and Luxury. Fantasia appears to be mostly family-oriented, with each property featuring a Disney/Excalibur-style castle in the pool area. Grand seems to be the middle-of-the-road option, bigger and with more rooms. Luxury properties are often adults-only and aim for a higher-end experience.
Based on reviews, many Bahia Principe resorts rank toward the middle to lower end of Hyatt’s current collection. Based on the fact that at least some will be Category A (12,000 points off-peak), my assumption is that they will add more modestly-priced opportunities to Hyatt’s increasingly expensive assortment of all-inclusives.
I’d love to hear about these properties from anyone who’s been to one. Tell us about your experience in the comments!

From what people have said/feedback, it will definetely be below ziva and dreams quality and standard….as the points indicate. But what i want to know is how does it compare with Sunscape, which is their budget friendly, e.g. cheap brand? And is there a noticeable different between the grand and luxury designation?
They are decent when you want a solid budget chain that’s part of a complex so a lot of things to do and areas to ‘explore’. If someone is used to Secrets/Excellence/etc, this is probably not the brand for you, but it is often on the cheaper side of pricing.
Also, Bahia Principe Grand Tequila is also adults-only (not flagged as such above).
Ben, how would you compare it to Ziva?
Generally below it – Bahia Principe Luxury probably compares better to Dreams which I consider a step below Ziva
I agree with the Dreams being a step below Ziva.
