The American Airlines shopping portal is running another referral offer that awards bonus miles to both the referrer and the person being referred.

- The “March New Referred Member Bonus” offer (the “Referral Bonus Program”), which runs from 3/12/2026 through 3/30/2026 at 11:59:59 pm ET (the “Bonus Period”), is available to new members of the AAdvantage eShopping mall (the “Site”) who sign up by logging in for the first time to the Site (“Referee”) using the unique link sent to them by a current AAdvantage eShopping member (“Referrer”) and make cumulative qualifying purchases totaling $75 or more during the Bonus Period.
- A Referee will earn a one-time bonus of 1,000 AAdvantage miles on qualifying purchases, in addition to the base AAdvantage miles earned from shopping online through the AAdvantage eShopping mall.
- Supplies of bonuses are limited for each Referrer: if the same Referrer provides their unique link to more than 10 Referees, only the first 10 Referees to sign up using that Referrer’s link and make qualifying purchases may earn bonuses.
- “Qualifying purchases” do not include returns, cancellations, shipping and handling, taxes, gift card or other cash equivalent purchases, and certain products that are not eligible for bonus miles.

Quick Thoughts
The United shopping portal always has a new member signup bonus available, but it’s rare that you can earn bonus miles/points when signing up for one of the other airline shopping portals run by Cartera.
This could be a particularly good deal if you’re referring (or are being referred by) someone else in your household as you’ll earn a total of 1,500 bonus miles between you after they (or you if applicable) spend $75 or more by March 30. Note that it doesn’t have to be $75 spent in a single transaction; instead, it’s valid on cumulative purchases. It’s also presumably valid on card-linked purchases at retailers that are part of the portal’s in-store offer program.
Do also note that there’s an annoyingly strict limit of 10 referrals. That’s less annoying from the referrer standpoint (although it does cap your referral earnings at 5,000 bonus miles), but it is more annoying if you’re the person being referred. That’s because only the first 10 people being referred by any given person who complete the spending requirement will be awarded the bonus miles too, but there’s no way of knowing if the referrer is already maxed out. As a result, if you’re interested in signing up for the portal for the first time, it’s therefore best to use the referral link of a friend or family member rather than one of the referral links published in the post above, just in case it gets maxed out before you have a chance to complete the $75 of spend. However, please don’t leave your referral links in the comments; they’ll be caught by the spam filter and won’t be approved.
