Quick Thoughts
This new GoWild! Pass is available for $199 and is valid for about 6 months (if you buy it now). We’ve previously seen passes good for ~17-20 months sold for $299, so this is actually relatively expensive by comparison.
Still, six months of unlimited flights for $199 sounds like a great deal, right? It could certainly be…but there are a few restrictions.
For most domestic routes, you can’t book your flight until the day before departure (that window moves out to 10 days for international flights). There’s a note in the terms that says that certain “GoWild” fares will be available to confirm in advance, but it’s unclear how extensive that feature will be and how much the “early booking” fee will be.
Additional restrictions include:
- Taxes and fees aren’t included in the pass. These can be especially significant on international flights where taxes and fees can top $100.
- There are just shy of 15 blackout days, most of which are days when many folks will want to travel.
That said, there are also a couple of significant improvements:
- You now earn miles on all GoWild! purchases. Previously, flights didn’t earn miles or help you qualify for elite status.
Overall, this newest Frontier GoWild! pass has the potential to be a good deal for folks with lots of flexibility and who are well-served by Frontier. However, given the booking limitations and additional fees involved, it’s worth doing the math to make sure that it pencils out before…going wild.

If you are gold elite, do you still get those benefits on a go wild fare?
