Quick Thoughts
There’s a bit of a range of value propositions here. The United and Southwest offers are fairly similar in terms of the per-dollar earnings if spending at the exact thresholds, although the United portal offers the highest return overall if spending $400.
The American Airlines portal is offering less generous returns, although you might prefer their portal over the others if you’re trying to earn Loyalty Points towards status. However, be aware that although you’ll earn Loyalty Points on your base earnings through the portal, you won’t earn a corresponding number of Loyalty Points from the 500 or 2,000 AAdvantage miles you’ll earn from their promo.
With the United portal, they have an in-store feature where you can earn bonus miles when paying with a linked card at eligible retailers. Those purchases count towards the spending thresholds for the promotion in addition to online purchases.
