In the midst of the seemingly unending series of massive targeted offers for the American Express Business Platinum and Business Gold cards that we’ve been seeing lately, there is also another targeted offer available for the Blue Business Plus (BBP) card. Those folks that are targeted will earn 75,000 Membership Rewards points after $6,000 in purchases in the first 4 months.
P2 was targeted via pop-up this morning, but I found that I was targeted using the same link, even though I didn’t have pop-up on my account.
In terms of points per dollar spent, this is one of the best offers that we’ve ever seen and is very good compared to what’s been available historically. The application terms for the offer do not seem to include typical once-in-a-lifetime language, so even if you have had the card before, you should be eligible for the welcome bonus (if targeted).
The Deal
- Earn 75,000 Membership Rewards points after $6,000 in purchases within the first 4 months after approval for a new Blue Business Plus card.
Link to log in and see if you are targeted (must log-in to Amex account to find out if you’re targeted)
You will need to log-in, then click the “apply” button to see if you’re targeted. If you don’t see the bonus on the landing page and/or get a message that says something along the lines of “Sorry, this offer is no longer available”, that means you’re not targeted.

Quick Thoughts
This is one of the best offers that we’ve seen for for this card. The Blue Business Plus often has no welcome bonus, and then it’s typically only been 10,000-25,000 bonus points.
I’m a big fan of the Blue Business Plus. The card earns 2x on all spend (up to $50K in purchases per calendar year), which makes it a terrific “everywhere else” card for people who value the Membership Rewards points. It’s also a useful backstop card since it has no annual fee but keeps Membership Rewards points alive and transferable to partners. Thus, there’s never any worry about cancelling a MR-earning card and losing points.
By meeting the terms of this bonus, you would end up with a total of 87,000 points in the first year between the normal 2x on the first $6K in purchases and the 75k welcome bonus. That’s 14.5x MR on $6K spending, which is a pretty sweet deal.
Does anyone know if BBP ever offers an elevated SUB to the public? I don’t have any Amex cards (focused on Ink train) and the only one I can justify is BBP. I see 50k and 75k links floating around, but since they’re targeted, they require a login which I don’t have…
0/2 players unfortunately
Oof. Just opened the BBP two months ago and just received 50K points for $8,000 spend. Thought I was beating the odds at the time. Amex won’t upgrade my welcome offer retroactively, right?
I’m eligible. How long will this be available for? I need to apply for a HELOC soon and don’t want it to affect me, but I have 840 credit score (but also just applied for a chase INK for a bonus last month).
If you’re already an Amex customer then it’ll be a soft pull and business cards won’t show on your personal credit report. So it should have no effect.
Saw a similar offer for the Blue Business Cash as well, for anyone on team cashback, $750 bonus on $6k spend in 4 months
Thanks! Is there an order to apply for the business cards like there is for the personal, if we want the option of all of the sign up bonuses?
Like blue, gold, platinum…?
I don’t want to miss out on the higher bonuses but doing the wrong order.
Gold then Plat. Don’t know about Green, but it’s a lousy card so I’d skip. Blue is its own universe.
Not yet (business cards don’t yet block you from getting a “lower” card if you have a “higher” one), but I don’t think anyone will be surprised to see that happen.
If that comes about would that just be for a new applications or should I play that strategy now?
Also how many of these business cards can we have with the personals with amex’s 5 card…
No family language on the business cards (at least for now). I was able to go Biz Plat -> Biz Gold -> BBP without issues last year.
The SUB is nice if eligible. And, it’s a NAF method of keeping MRs alive is one has no other MR card. But, I’ll pay the $95 AF on the Capital One Spark Miles if I get uncapped 2X and no foreign transaction fees. Easy decision.
