Notes

  • Do not use a promo code to reduce gift card fees or for free shipping since that will invalidate your cash back (the Premium Shipping Plan is fine, though).
  • Do not buy denominations higher than $2,000 (see: $2K denomination limit on Amex gift card cash back)
  • Do not pay with Citibank credit cards since they sometimes charge cash advance fees.

BeFrugal just back up to 2.0%……..

Scott

Any updates to the 14 day limit? I read somewhere that Amex had increased that limit, but can’t find it anymore.

Nicole

…does anyone have experience (lab results) of using AGC for Visa GC at Simon Mall?

Peter

I have, but you’ll have to buy a personalized gift card because the Simon mall near my house always checks that the credit card name matches an ID.

Nicole

ah ha!!! Super helpful. Thanks!

Steve

Beware the new T&C:

Please Note: Denominations over $2K are not eligible for cash back (Business Gold and Consumer Gold products.)

Trevor

Great reminder!

Nicole

…has this been confirmed? I’m showing pending CB on Be Frugal…

Ken

Cashback sites have been known to claw back cashback from using fee waiver codes, so I’m not willing to chance it. I’ll just do $2,000 denominations. No big deal, the cashback still easily covers that.

Has anyone recently made the purchase using AMEX credit card to meet minimum spend for sign-up bonus? I want to know this purchase will count towards it?

Nicole

The T&C says it won’t, but in real life, it did!!!

max

i can confirm that you are correct as i just made the mistake of doing a 3k + 2k and i am only seeing 45 dollars CB as pending…

CASACW2

So just to confirm… if you buy a GC for $2k, it does qualify? but ones for more than $2k are not eligible? Thanks!
