Over the past several days, there have been many new Amex Offers added. Some are targeted, so you may not see all of them on your account. Others are available to sync via Twitter. See our Complete Guide to Amex Offers for information on how to sync offers to multiple cards. We have a roundup of some of the better offers:
Delta Air Lines

Enrollment limited. Offer is non-transferable. Must add offer to Card and use same Card to redeem. Limit 1 statement credit(s) per American Express® online account. Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 5/17/2017, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. Note that American Express may not receive information about your qualifying purchase from merchant until all items from your qualifying purchase have been provided/shipped by merchant. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your transaction as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the statement credit. For example, your transaction will not qualify if it is not made directly with the merchant. In addition, in most cases, you may not receive the statement credit if your transaction is made with an electronic wallet or through a third party or if the merchant uses a mobile or wireless card reader to process it. By adding an offer to a Card, you agree that American Express may send you communications about the offer.
Big Lots
- Spend $50, get 1000 Membership Rewards points.
- Expires 4/30/17.
With the increasing value of Membership Rewards points, this is an excellent offer for maximizing savings if you’re already planning on shopping at Big Lots.
Country Inn & Suites
- Spend $100, get a $20 statement credit
- Expires 5/20/17
- Sync via Twitter with #AmexCountryInns
Note that the terms here exclude all of the other Club Carlson brands, suggesting that this one will only work at Country Inn & Suites. I don’t know whether these hotels sell gift cards and if they may work to trigger the offer, but past Amex Offers at other hotel chains have been triggered by gift card purchases at the front desk.
Upwork.com
- Spend $200, get a $100 statement credit.
- Expires 7/31/17
- Sync via Twitter with #AmexUpwork
I have only used UpWork once, but I was impressed. I posted a simple task (expected work time of less than an hour) at 10:34pm on a Saturday night. At 10:39pm, I started receiving applicants. By 11:16pm, I had a contract with someone and the work was finished by 11:50pm. That is only one experience and it was a simple task, but I was very satisfied.
Dollar Shave Club
- Spend $10, get either 1,000 Membership Rewards points or $10 back
- Expires 7/15/17
There are two versions of this offer. Some will see a $10 statement credit offer, others will see an offer for 1,000 Membership Rewards points as seen above. Doctor of Credit has a great post on making this offer a money-maker. While I have never purchased directly from Dollar Shave Club, I buy the same blades directly from Dorco (Dollar Shave Club’s supplier). I’ve been happy — the razors seem the same as name-brand competitors (no better, no worse) at much better prices.
[…] run, but if you can make good use of your free Friday it could work out very well. We have seen a Country Inn & Suites Amex Offer this year (already expired). If another one comes out during this promotion, it could get even […]
[…] Amex offers […]
Dollar Shave Club has a 6oz and 3oz bundle of Dr Carter Shave Butter for $11 w/free shipping.
Or a handle and 10 cartridges for $9.50 :-).

Of course, they’d have to collect tax for your state to hit the $10.
@ Nick — this may be a dumb question but is there any chance pre-3/17 Delta charges would count towards $500 requirement if CC statement hasn’t closed yet? Changed tickets on 3/8 and paid ~$300 fare difference (change fee waived). Was thinking of upgrading which wouldn’t be $500 in itself but would be over $500 combined with earlier charge.
You will not receive a statement credit for any purchases made before adding the offer to your card — so no, the charge you made on 3/8 definitely will not count. You can try to call customer service and plead your case — but I have never heard of success in retroactively applying an Amex Offer to a purchase made before it was released. While I always avoid saying that something is impossible, the chance of success would be infinitesimally small.
Thanks, Nick! That’s what I figured but wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing anything.
But do I understand it correctly that $500 can be spent in multiple transactions?
