American Express has just released a new offer giving a $25 statement credit with a purchase of $50 or more at Smart & Final stores through 6/30/15. The offer can be used three times per linked card and can be loaded via the American Express website or on Twitter by tweeting #AmexSmartFinal.
Smart & Final is a discount grocery/warehouse store that has over 250 locations, with most being on the west coast.
Key Terms
Valid in-store only. Excludes Cash & Carry brand name stores. Not valid outside the US. If you order an item during the offer period but it is not sent to you until after 6/30/15, it may not count towards determining whether your purchase qualifies for the offer. Limit 3 statement credits. Enrollment limited.

My Smart & Final is working like a charm…….2 of my spouse’s charges have already had the credit appear and they were both VISA GC charges with a grocery item added on………the add on just seemed to be the proper approach……..never knew the store was there……..so they are accomplishing their mission thru a loss leader……….really cheap marketing…………

Data point: Tried two Smart and Finals. At first store, told all gift cards are cash or debit only. Second store purchased Arco gas cards no problems. Thanks for the heads up!
Update: went back today with spouse and policy had *ahem* mysteriously changed to no gift cards using CC. Same cashier. Annoying!

Stock up on gas cards at least, if they sell the Shell ones. That’s 50% off. Unless you don’t need gas anymore, some don’t. 🙂

Agreed. I just bought Visa and Mastercard ones, so in a day or two I will know for sure whether the credit posts. I’ve used many sync offers and bought gift cards whenever available. I’ve always received a credit by Amex. They are pretty liberal. I did get all the congrat e-mails a few minutes ago so that’s a good sign at least. Get to your local S&F fast. The cashier said she had been swamped with syncers. They are all buying gift cards according to her.

I tweeted the offer for my SPG, Sky, and Cash Amex cards. Only the SPG got enrolled. not the Amex Sky or Amex Cash Card. Do you know why?
