Best Western has returned with an offer they’ve run a couple of times before this past year – buy $200 Best Western gift cards and get $50 bonus cards free. That’s potentially a great deal, but note the expiry date of the bonus cards.
The Deal
- Buy $200 Best Western gift cards & get $50 bonus cards free.
- Direct link to offer.
Key Terms
- Expires September 27, 2023.
- Bonus cards expire February 29, 2024.
- Limit 5 bonus cards per customer.
- This is an online promotion only and is offered solely to residents of the United States, Canada and the Caribbean.
- Offer not valid with any other promotion or discount.
- Bonus gift cards will be sent via email separately from the purchased Best Western gift cards.
Quick Thoughts
If you’ll be staying at Best Western properties this fall and/or winter, this promotion gives you the opportunity to save up to 20% on your stay. That’s a great deal, but the most important thing to be aware of is that the $50 bonus cards expire on February 29, 2024. If you were to buy these at the time of publishing this post, that gives you 5.5 months to redeem them which is a decent amount of time. You don’t have to redeem the $200 gift cards by that time as those don’t expire; it’s only the $50 bonus cards that have to be redeemed by the leap year’s bonus day.
The terms state that this offer isn’t valid with any other promotion or discount, but that’s not completely true. It won’t stack with some other kind of gift card discount, but you will still be eligible for earning bonus points from Best Western promotions, you’ll still be able to get savings like AAA discounts, you can book your stay through a shopping portal for cashback/rewards, etc.
I’ve only ever stayed at one or two Best Western properties and those were booked via Hotels.com, so I’m not an expert with payment and reservations with them. However, if you have a stay that’ll be taking place after February 29, 2024 I imagine you could call the hotel and ask them to take payment from the bonus cards before that date to credit against your folio. I’d verify that with the property first though before buying these gift cards and bonus cards.
