Quick Thoughts

It’s always nice when hotel chains offer bonus points on award stays. It sadly doesn’t stack with their current award sale though as that award sale ends on February 6 – the day before this bonus points promotion begins.

A great aspect of this promotion is that you don’t have to have enough points for a full award night in order to earn the 2,000 bonus points. That’s because Best Western recently rolled out a new feature of their Rewards program called Pay With Points. That allows you to redeem points in 1,000 point increments, with a minimum redemption of 5,000 points per stay and every 1,000 points deducting $5 from your stay. While that’s not always going to be a great redemption depending on the award pricing versus the room rate, it’s good to have additional options like that, especially if you’d otherwise have orphaned points.
