Edit: There are still some $797 fares available, but there’s much less availability now.
JetBlue has some excellent fares in Mint available between Boston and San Francisco. These are pricing out at just $399 OW / $797 RT for nonstop transcon travel in lie-flat beds.
You can find these flights directly on JetBlue, Google Flights, etc., so they should be bookable anywhere.
Secret Flying has a long list of dates where you can book this deal, with availability from February all the way through to the end of October.
For example, here’s an option for round trip from May 7 to May 16:
Although the flight from Boston to San Francisco is a red-eye, the lie-flat beds will help mitigate that.
As mentioned above, there’s a ton of availability over the course of the next eight months. However, this deal could end any time and some dates only have a couple of seats left at this fare, so it’d be best to jump on the deal if you can make use of it.
When I see a post like this, I realize that people value lie flat seats more than I do. Even with my JetBlue points, I wouldn’t pay more than $500 round trip for this.
I would pay $400 in points for a flat bed red eye. My rule of thumb for flat bed is $50-80 per hour in bed, for anything over 2 hours. Points make this work
[…] least an extra $100 back on the deal we posted a little while ago for JetBlue Mint Class (See: Book Quickly: BOS-SFO In Lie-Flat Beds For $797 RT / $399 OW) or any other trip that comes to at least $600 before […]
BOS->SFO is not a redeye. A redeye is an overnight flight where you leave in evening and arrive at dawn or later. Arrival at 1am is not ideal but still leaves time to sleep in a real bed during normal sleeping hours
I was thinking the same thing when I read the post. A 9:20 departure out of BOS is ideal for me. Allows me to use the full day and get into SFO a reasonable hour. Only this flight and the 6:45 am were pricing at $399 or ~ 29k points.
