Update: The 2% cellphone category isn’t as interesting as I thought it was because you have to shop through their portal at least once and it’s only valid through December 31, 2021. The regular 1% categories might still be of interest though as they’re ongoing.

Bumped is an app with two elements – a shopping portal and a card-linked program. Their shopping portal can generally be ignored due to poor rates, but their card-linked program can be a decent way to rack up rewards for spending you’d be doing anyway.
That’s now gotten even better because they’re offering 2% back when paying for your cellphone bill with a linked card.
The Deal
- Earn 2% back in stock when paying with a linked card for your cellphone bill with the following carriers:
- AT&T
- T-Mobile
- Verizon Wireless
- My referral link – I’ll get $1 in stock if you sign up. I don’t know if you get anything, but unless things have changed recently I think you might have to apply via a referral link to get access to Bumped.
Key Terms
- You can change brand loyalty in each category once per 30 days, up to 3 times per year.
- Limit $250 back in stock per category per year.
Quick Thoughts
As mentioned at the top of the post, Bumped is an app with two main features – one being a shopping portal and the other being a card-linked program.
The card-linked program is the app’s interesting part. You link your card(s) and then select a Loyalty company in each of the following 12 categories:
- Apparel
- Club Warehouse
- Coffee
- Entertainment
- Meal Kits
- Mobile Carrier
- Personal Care
- Pet Supplies
- Quick Eats
- Sportswear
- Transport
- Vineyards
All of those categories earn 1% back in stock (you can select what stock you earn), with the exception of the new addition of mobile carrier for which they’re offering 2% back. That’s an excellent deal if you happen to have service with AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon Wireless because it’s set-and-forget – you’ll keep earning 2% back for as long as you have service with that carrier or for as long as Bumped offers 2%. With it being a card-linked program, it stacks with Amex Offers and Chase Offers you might have for your carrier, wireless credits on select Amex cards, bonused spend on cards that offer more points for wireless spending, etc.
Update: According to BSMooth in the comments, it looks like you might need to use Bumped’s shopping portal once to unlock access to the 2% Mobile Carrier category. The last time I used their portal was several months ago, so that appears to have been sufficient for me to gain access.
Some other notable categories are club warehouse where you can get 1% back at Sam’s Club or BJ’s Wholesale Club, 1% on Entertainment (which includes Sirius XM and so stacks with the entertainment credit on personal Amex Platinum cards) and 1% at your choice of one of 7 fast food brands which can stack with dining credits and/or bonused spend on dining.
With a limit of $250 back in stock per category per year, you’d need to spend $25,000 in 1% categories and $12,500 at 2% on your cellphone bill in order to max out that limit.
How long does it post? I chose shell for my gas/transport station and bought some gas last night, but it hasn’t posted yet.
I think it takes a few days, but I’ve never paid attention to length of time when it comes to tracking.
Interesting. I signed up using your link. However, the cell phone bill deal says you must shop through their portal to unlock. It also says it is only valid 10/1/21 through 12/31/21. “Earn 2% back on your phone bill! Get more from your phone plan with loyality brands T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon. Make a purchase in the Shop Now secton to unlock this limited-time offer, available October 1 through December 31.”
Ah, that’s a shame – it didn’t show me those limited dates. I’ll update the post with that info.
i got an invite once, but it said Permanent Residents and Citizens only, I am not sure how does that matter. If someone can confirm if its okay to create an account i will.
Looks like you need to use the Shop portal to unlock cellphone as a category
Interesting – I don’t think I’d used their portal for several months, but perhaps the one transaction I did earlier this year to get access to 1% back at Amazon was sufficient. I’ll add that to the post – thanks for the heads up.
