Delta is out with their 3rd promo this week for their “Dream It, Live It” week. Today’s deal is a $25 bonus on a $250 gift card purchase. As a reminder, the other ongoing deals are:
- Amazing Delta vacation packages promo: get 2c per mile + earn miles
- Delta Award Sale: Round Trip Awards As Low As 9,000 SkyMiles
It looks like there will be a total of 5 deals before the week is done, so stay tuned for two more.
The Deal
- Buy $250 in Delta gift cards and get a $25 Delta eCredit
- Direct link to offer.
Key Terms
- Valid while supplies last (offer is limited to the first 4,000 purchasers)
- Limit one bonus eCredit per customer
- Delta $25 eCredits will expire on 12/31/19 and cannot be combined with a Delta Gift Card for redemption.
Quick Thoughts
I really don’t like the fact that the $25 eCredit expires at the end of the year. Worse, you can’t combine the eCredit with a Delta gift card in one transaction. If you can live with these limitations, though, this appears to be an easy way to buy $275 worth of Delta credit for $250 (~9% discount).
The $25 eCredit should appear automatically when you add $250 in gift cards to your cart. If that doesn’t happen, then the promo has probably ended.
[…] Delta Air Lines has a discount on gift cards. You can buy a $250 gift card and get a $25 bonus. Just keep in mind that the bonus card expires a the end of the year, so it only useful if you plan to use it by then. (HT: Frequent Miler) […]
Nice little deal. Thanks for the heads up!

It looks like GC are sold through Cashstar and not Delta.com, so if you use AMEX IDK if you earned 2X on the purchase and if it would trigger the $50/$100 or up to $500 statement credits.
P2 signed up for the Platinum Delta SkyMiles® Business Credit Card from American Express with 50K/$3K that also included. “Receive 50% cash back in the form of statement credits on purchases made directly with Delta with your new Card within the first 3 months of Card Membership, up to $500 back.”
In the past I thought that the eGCs were sold by Delta, only the physical GCs were sold by cashstar. Reportedly, only the eGCs triggered the SUB credit. So are the eGCs are now being sold by cashstar? If so, agree it may not trigger the SUB credit. Anyone try it recently? I have a SUB credit expiring in about a month. Between this and Amex cracking down on GCs triggering the incidental credits, I may just let mine expire.
