The first of the month usually brings us new transfer bonuses and the start of November is no exception. Capital One has launched two new transfer bonuses today – one for British Airways and one for Accor – both of which give a 20% bonus.
The Deal
- Capital One is giving a 20% bonus when transferring miles to the following programs:
- Accor Live Limitless
- British Airways Executive Club (Avios)
Key Terms
- Expires November 30, 2022.
Quick Thoughts
This is the first time we’ve seen a transfer bonus to Accor Live Limitless. Note that Capital One normally transfers on a 1,000:500 basis to Accor, so this 20% bonus makes that ratio 1,000:600. I’m not very familiar with Accor’s loyalty program, but my understanding is that their points are fairly valuable at ~2cpp each. If that is indeed the case, this transfer bonus means you’ll effectively be getting ~1.2cpp of value per Capital One mile – not bad, but not amazing either.
The bonus to British Airways is interesting too, but again it’s not overly exciting. They’re a transfer partner of all the main transferable currencies and it feels like every month one of them is offering a bonus when transferring to Avios. American Express bonuses to British Airways sometimes go as high as 40%, so this Capital One transfer bonus is only worth taking advantage of if you have an imminent need for them.

Does anyone know if the use of points eliminates/reduces taxes and fees or resort fees like some programs do? If so that pumps the value of points a bit more.
[…] Capital One November transfer bonuses of 20% to British Airways and to Accor not deals I’d jump on for their own sake, but helpful if you’re considering a transfer anyway. […]
Accor points are redeemable at 100 point for €2 off your room rate. More precisely, 2k ALL points erases €40 off of your rate and I believe the points must be redeemed in blocks of 2k ALL points. There’s no award chart.
