We’ll be collecting reader referral links for those who were targeted so we can share them with others. The details on how to participate with your link (if you are targeted) are below.
We are no longer accepting referral links for the Venture X while we catch up with the 900+ links that we’ve already received.

75K Miles ⓘ Affiliate 75k miles after $4k spend within first 3 months. (Rates & Fees)$395 Annual Fee Recent better offer: Expired 3/14/22: 100K after $10K spend in 6 months + $200 credit for vacation rental spend in first year FM Mini Review: This card offers annual rebates that easily mitigate the fee for those who travel often. Authorized users are free and also get access to perks like Priority Pass, Capital One Lounges, Plaza Premium lounges, and more. The card earns 2 "miles" per dollar on most purchases just like the Capital One Venture Rewards card, which are worth exactly 1 cent each toward travel. This makes the return on most spend similar to a 2% cash back card (though in this case you must redeem your miles to offset travel in order to get 1 cent per mile). One huge advantage over cash back: Capital One allows transfering their "miles" to airline miles & hotel points. Quick Thoughts
This referral offer is targeted, meaning that only some Venture X cardholders have the ability to generate a link for it — but the offer itself is publicly available to anyone applying through a qualifying referral link (like the one on our Venture X card page). Those Venture X cardholders who have the ability to generate a 90K link will see it advertised in the “refer a friend” section of their login — it shows the bonus that you’ll get as a cardholder and that your friend will get 90,000 miles (whereas most of us only have a referral offer for 75K miles for our friends).
Our Reasonable Redemption Values pegs C1 miles at 1.45 cents each (meaning that we expect most folks to be able to get 1.45 cents of value per point without having to cherry-pick awards). That makes this offer worth ~$1,300…a terrific deal for only $4K spend.
If I refer someone who is an authorized user of a capital one card, will I get the referral bonus? This person does not have any other capital one card.
Will the referral bonus be taxed?!? like the chase ink cards?
I hope we’ll see increased offers on their $95 and $0 fee cards. Has anyone seen referrals like that? (the plain Venture and Venture One).
I have the good link but I don’t have Facebook….
Likewise
Maybe a reason to get FB.
Probably not.
Definitely not
Lucky me! I have 90k/20k better than a lot with 90k/10k… hopefully I posted it right. Got 1 family member to sign up in the last hour as well. Hoping to get at least 1 more.
So I don’t Facebook, never have and probably never will. Have 2 90,000 links to offer but can’t send that way. Options?
There are some other places you can post links. The odds of getting a hit are almost certainly lower than if your link is shared here. I like FM so won’t plug other sites, but there are other options that don’t require FB.
Just flagging that there doesn’t seem to be a first comment to reply to, so people are just dropping links as top-level comments
Thanks, I saw that. For some reason my comment didn’t post and a bunch of folks had already left links, so I changed the directions for this one.
Any DP’s on referring an authorized user? Does that count as a new to Capital One account since they’re only an AU? Also does Capital One even allow referring an AU (didn’t see anything in the terms)?
Haven’t had any DPs, but I would think that would count as a new customer since they aren’t a primary account holder.
@Tim. Not sure if you know this, but in the Frequent Miler Insider Group it asks that folks to follow directions and to only reply to the pinned/first comment after your post. However, there isn’t a pinned/first comment.
Needless to say about 50 people, didn’t follow directions and posted anyway. Any chance you can pin a comment so I can respond and follow directions are requested.
It seems referral bonus and offer amount varys alot. I manage 3 cards, I have 90k/10k, 75k/25k and 75k/20k offers.
Why I never get these higher offer referral links I will never know….
I have the 90k offer but my referral bonus shows 20k as opposed to 25k. Odd
You are lucky. I have 90k but only 10k referral.
Why Facebook lol? Who has Facebook anymore?
Gen X and above.
I am an X my self though I only keep it for things like this… special interest groups. No vacation photo sharing or any personal postings LOL
I have the link. I don’t do FB but am guessing a lot of people must be getting this offer.
Same. Don’t facebook, they need another option.
Well that is up to FM. I think FB probably works well for them. Most people are not as rabidly anti-FB as I am and just create fake FB accounts. (Personally I would rather give away all my points and close my card accounts before I reopened a FB account, but admittedly I am at the extreme end, lol!)
We know that not everybody has a FB account, but it’s the easiest way for us to manage the links. If you don’t have FB, feel free to share your link with your friends, family, and social circles wherever you connect with your network.
Yup, understood. And definitely not trying to tell you how to run your site! If I were in your shoes I would probably use FB too.
