Here’s a super quick review of the Centurion Lounge GRU. Four of us entered at around 7:15PM before a 9:55 PM flight. The lounge was packed but we were able to secure a table in the dining area and begged and borrowed our way to a total of four chairs. The buffet had a great selection, including one of the better fruit assortments I’ve seen in an airport lounge. Overall I’d rank the food as good to very good. The lounge has shower rooms, but there was too long of a waiting list when we were there. If interested, make sure to sign up as soon as you enter the lounge.
Overall, this isn’t the best airport lounge, especially due to overcrowding, but it’s a good place to grab dinner before a late flight.
Accessing the lounge
Use your Amex Platinum card for free access to the lounge for yourself plus one guest (unlike in the U.S., a free guest is still allowed). If you have a Centurion card, you can get access to a special Centurion-only lounge-within-the-lounge where it is surely much less crowded.

To me, Amex lounges are lounges of last resort . . . like a typical Priority Pass lounge . . . when one doesn’t otherwise have access to a proprietary airline lounge. Poor food. People strewn across couches looking like they’re in the middle of a 48-hour connecting journey . . . all in basic economy.
