Frequent Miler's latest team challenge, Million Mile Madness, is almost done! The last two weeks Greg, Nick, and Stephen competed to earn 1 Million SAS miles by flying 15 airlines. But who completed the challenge with the most Speed, Affordability, and Style?
As reported earlier this week at Doctor of Credit, there are several offers out from Chase to earn a statement credits after making 5 purchases at grocery stores with a mobile wallet. The offers are available on the Chase Freedom card (appears targeted), the Chase Ritz-Carlton Rewards card, and the Chase Marriott Rewards Card (personal version). They are as follows:
Chase Freedom card

- Only the first 24,000 cardmembers who qualify will receive a $15 statement credit
- Limit one statement credit per customer or card account
Ritz-Carlton Rewards Credit Card

Marriott Rewards Credit Card
The offer
- Get a $15 statement credit when you pay 5 times at the grocery store with your Marriott Rewards Credit Card through Android Pay, Apple Pay, or Samsung Pay

Final Word
This is a nice little promotion to save a few bucks. Only the Freedom card offer appears to be targeted and capped. It’s good to see card issuers making an effort to be on top of your mobile wallet. Those new to mobile wallets may be surprised at how widely they are accepted (especially Samsung Pay). If you are looking to get in on a Samsung phone for easy LoopPay trasnactions, check out this Quick Deal we posted earlier.

[…] Chase mobile wallet promotions: get a statement credit for grocery store purchases Note that some readers pointed out that the Marriott and Ritz versions of this promotion do not specify that the purchases need to be at a grocery store. (Ends 6/15/17) […]
The Ritz-Carlton card offer is not limited to grocery purchases.
I was excited to learn of the Freedom bonus a few days ago … until discovering my local Safeway & Kroger don’t accept Android Pay…
Is the marriott offer limited to grocery purchases?
Same question? And do we need to activate the offer?
