Chase Sapphire Reserve & Preferred elevated bonus now available via referral

8

Several days ago, we wrote about newly increased welcome bonuses on the Chase Sapphire Reserve Card and Chase Sapphire Preferred card. That bonus is now available via referral. If you have friends or family interested in the card, now you can get rewarded for helping them get it.

Keep in mind that you’re not eligible for the welcome bonus on a Sapphire card if you have received a new card member bonus on a Sapphire card, whether the Preferred or the Reserve, in the past 48 months. That said, if your friend or family member is eligible for the bonus, you can now earn a nice chunk of points with their approval.

Given that we already have our own Frequent Miler links for these offers on our Best Offers page as noted in our recent post, we will not be setting up a referral thread for these, but we still wanted to post to alert readers who have these cards and may want to recommend them to friends and family in your own circles.

Any angle to refer a friend then they get the 75k bonus matched to the 85k in branch offer???

Can my wife refer me to the Chase Sapphire Preferred card with a different Chase card? She has Freedom, Inks and a regular Sapphire card that she downgraded from the Sapphire Preferred. Thanks!

Oliver

Any Sapphire card can refer to either Sapphire version.

I tried that with my wife’s regular Sapphire card (not Preferred). Got “We are unable to locate any offers for you at this time.

The offer you are attempting to access is not available for the card account you entered. If you have another account, please try signing in using that card’s information.”

Hi Nick, Somewhat related request, I’d really appreciate a post on The Edit, the hotel collection only available to Chase Sapphire Reserve holders. The information I’ve found online is scant and without a Reserve card I’m not able to check available hotels/pricing. I know it provides elite benefits – free breakfast, upgrades, late checkout – which to me would make the 1.5 cents/point redemptions appealing for some situations. The Chase Travel portal rates are often competitive but you get treated like a nothing OTA booking. If The Edit has the same pricing that would completely change the value equation. Anyway, just throwing it out there as a request. Thanks

How many points are we talking about? It’s weird how all the posts on this are so vague.

Andrew

Nice, they always seem to delay the increased referral bonuses by a few days.
