Chase Sapphire Reserve Referral bonus: 10K per referral up to 50K per year

Chase has released a refer-a-friend bonus for the Chase Sapphire Reserve: 10,000 Ultimate Rewards points for each friend who refer who is approved up to 50,000 Ultimate Rewards points per year.

The Deal

Key Terms

  • You can earn a maximum of 50,000 points per year for Chase Sapphire Reserve referrals (though this can stack with referrals for the Sapphire Preferred, Ink Business Preferred, etc if you have referrals for those cards

Quick Thoughts

This is a nice deal — the CSR is a great card to carry. While it no longer carries the monster 100K signup bonus with which it debuted a year ago, the current 50K signup bonus is still a strong value. It’s worth at least $750 in travel and when combined with the $300 in travel credits, it ‘s easy to come out well ahead in year 1 despite the $450 annual fee (which is not waived the first year).

With the recent announcement that Chase is limited Sapphire approvals to those who have not received a signup bonus on any Sapphire product in the past 24 months, this will be a welcome offer for many Sapphire Reserve holders who were contemplating whether to keep or cancel.

Note that the usual Chase Refer-a-Friend site is not working properly, but the link above under “The Deal” is working.
