Quick Thoughts

Depending on your destination (and availability from your point of origin), there are some decent deals to be had. While the sale is said to be from 20,000 SkyMiles round trip, I see a ton of availability from New York to Orlando for 19,000 miles round trip:

Availability to Caribbean islands was a bit more scarce and the number of miles required seemed to vary between 25K-30K on most routes I searched. These rates are competitive (and in some cases better) than what you would pay with other programs. However, keep in mind that this is low season in the Caribbean (the tail end of hurricane season). Cash tickets also tend to be less expensive at this time of year — so you may want to head over to Google Flights to look for a deal first.
