This week at Frequent Miler, we’ve got reviews of Delta’s A350 business class and premium select cabins, the most rewarding hotel promotions, and the weird (but useful) Citi Prestige benefits. Read all that and more in this week’s recap below.

Half an hour in Delta’s Premium Select. A mini review.

Delta’s new A350s have a true Premium Select product that’s different than Delta’s Comfort+. Greg didn’t spend an entire flight in one of these seats, but here he reviews his experience at the seat while waiting for an upgrade that eventually cleared while he was sitting on the plane. The good news: this definitely looks like an OK way to get from Point A to Point B if business class is not an option either due to price or availability.

Which Hotel Program Has The Most Rewarding Promotions?

Hyatt Promo Park Hyatt New York

We’ve taken a glance lately at which hotel programs are the most rewarding; in this post, Stephen looks at a key piece of the puzzle in determining which program gets your loyalty: hotel promotions. Truth be told, the promotions often make the difference as to which chain ought to get your business in any given quarter. This post is also a good reminder to always register for the promotions “just in case”. Just last week, I ended up in a Starwood property that was arranged and paid for by someone else, but I was able to pick up a bonus 1,000 Starpoints thanks to this quarter’s promotion – so I’m glad I registered.

Greg flew the new Delta One suites twice over the past week. Greg has some key recommendations about where to sit and what you need to know about Delta’s latest premium product. You might be surprised as to where the best seats in the house are found according to Greg’s review, but it’ll make sense once you read the explanation.

Two posts in one: A couple of general tips surrounding a last-minute visa application and a tip for expediting your return to the US with a free app that’s easy to use. My last two entries to the US have been smooth and quick — with a line of only one family in front of me at JFK airport the other day. See this post for more on how.

Citi Prestige: Weird but valuable benefits

a close up of a credit card

The Citi Prestige card has some benefits that you’d expect in a premium card: trip delay and cancellation protection (though that protection is changing!), Priority Pass membership, etc. But did you know that it has event ticket protection if you lose your tickets to an event and need a refund? Did you know you can earn 2x at some wineries? See this post and the comments for info on some of the lesser-known benefits of the Citi Prestige card.

That’s it for this Frequent Miler week in review. Check back soon for our week in reivew around the web and this week’s last chance deals.
