Through the end of July, the Sears / Kmart rewards program, SYW (Shop Your Way) Rewards is offering double point earnings for shopping with their partners. Go to www.shopyourway.com/app/11150/l/partners to see which stores qualify.
Two types of partner deals
There are two distinct ways to earn points from SYW partners. One way is to click through to the partner’s website from the SYW Rewards website. This is the same way many online portals work. And, in general, I’d recommend using other portals (such as Discover Deals) before SYW Rewards since SYW points lock you into spending your rewards at Sears, Kmart, and Lands End before the points expire.
The other way to earn points from SYW partners is to link your MasterCard or Visa credit card. Then, when you use that card to pay at select merchants, you’ll automatically earn SYW points. To find these deals, scroll down the SYW partners page and click “Credit & Debit Card”
The special thing about these linked credit card deals is that you can double dip: earn cash back or miles by going through a portal and earn SYW points by paying with your linked credit card. Take 1800Baskets, for example. It should be possible to link a credit card to SYW and go through a portal to increase your rewards. Make sure to pay with your linked credit card to earn 40% back in points. Hint: look for 1800Baskets within the Frequent Miler Laboratory.

I’m not sure what they mean by “Limit one offer per member”. My guess is that they don’t really mean that you can only earn double points once, but it’s possible.

Was this tested prior to posting? Shop Your Way does not appear as a merchant via the Discover Deals portal – nor any other portal I can find.
The only way I can see to maximize this is to get a doubled discount on the SYW July special merchants, pick up regular spend points on your linked card and cross your fingers that your SYWR points show up.
Yes, I’ve done this (but before SYW offered double points):
1. Go to shopyourway.com and link your visa/mc
2. Go through Discover Deals portal to 1800Baskets
3. Buy whatever (including gift cards) and pay with cc from step 1.

I tried doing this double dip 2 weeks ago, still waiting for SYWR points from 1800flowers.com. I bought $50 gift card, and went through discover portal.

Discover Deals portal specifically excludes SYW when clicking through Sears….so not sure how to get 80% then
