Good news – Marriott is kicking off the new year by offering 2x points on stays through the end of the year.
Bad news – it’s only valid on Homes & Villas properties.
Good news – it might stack with future promos.
Bad news – you need to book by the end of January.
The Deal
- Earn 2x points on all Marriott Homes & Villas stays of 2+ nights.

Key Terms
- Book by January 31, 2024 for stays through December 31, 2024.
- Must register at above link.
- Promotion bonus Points are in addition to the base Points and any Elite bonus Points earned per stay within the promotion earning period.
- Charges that do not qualify for Points include, but are not limited to, taxes, booking fees, cleaning fees, security deposits, and extra add-on services purchased and/or applied to home rentals booked through the HVMB Platform.
- Provided that the correct Marriott Bonvoy Membership Account Number is added as part of the booking process, Points will automatically appear in the Member’s Account three (3) to six (6) weeks (21–42 days) following the completion of their stay.
Quick Thoughts
Double points is far from being the best Marriott Homes & Villas promotion we’ve ever seen, but it’s nice that it’s valid on stays through the end of 2024 provided you book by the end of January.
Marriott tends to run several promotions on Homes & Villas stays throughout the year. If you book a stay now for later in the year, it’ll hopefully stack with any other promo running at the time of your stay. There’s no guarantee on that though as it could depend on how they set up future promos; they might state that it’ll only be valid on newly-booked stays rather than existing ones.
What definitely will stack is earnings through a shopping portal. Homes & Villas is listed differently on different portals, so you’ll need to check for the best rates here, here and here.
Also keep an eye out for Amex Offers and Chase Offers for Homes & Villas stays. There were several of those last year and I wouldn’t be surprised if we see even more during 2024. Whether they’ll appear before January 31 though (the date you have to book by) is another matter.

This is awesome, thank you! I registered for the promotion and then booked six weeks at a Villa during the time we having a home repair. FYI, I started at the cashback website, but instead of entering Marriott Homes and Villas, I only entered Marriott and they have a 7% return right now!! Then once on the Marriott Bonvoy website, I clicked on “Find and Reserve” then “Find a Private Home Rental” and booked my stay. Hopefully this will still work for both the cashback and my double points! Thanks again!!
WHOOPS, nope – Registered Marriott Bonvoy Members earn double points per eligible paid stay at a participating home rental booked between January 2, 2024 (12:01 AM EST) – January 31, 2024 (11:59 PM EST) through the Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy website (“HVMB Platform”).
WHOOPS YES! This did work. I called Marriott Homes & Villas and confirmed that I was registered for the promotion and that the stay I had booked qualified for the 2x points. So now just have to wait and see if I get the 7% back from cashback for the Marriott International booking 🙂
