The Hard Rock Atlantic City, set to open this summer, is offering discounts or free nights depending on your status with other casinos. A couple of the statuses they match are likely easy for readers to produce: M Life Gold (matched from Hyatt Explorist) will get you 1 free night as will Total Rewards Diamond, available via match from Wyndham Rewards Diamond.
The Deal
- Get a discount or 1 free night or 2 free nights at the Hard Rock Atlantic City by showing your status card with select competing programs
- Direct link to the promotion page
Key Terms
- Valid for guests that can present a loyalty card from one of the following casinos: Any Hard Rock Casino, Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa (M Life Rewards), Caesars, Harrah’s (Caesar’s Total Rewards), Bally’s (Caesar’s Total Rewards), Golden Nugget Atlantic City, Parx Casino, Resorts Casino Hotel, Sugarhouse Casino, Taj Mahal, Tropicana Atlantic City.
- You will need to show your membership card – if you don’t have a physical card, stop by your casino’s player’s club desk first when you get to town
- The loyalty card must be in good shape, with the name of the primary guest on the reservation.
- Offer valid one time only. Multiple reservations are subject to cancellation.
- If the guest is unable to present the valid loyalty card upon arrival, the reservation rate will be adjusted to the prevailing rate. Must sign up for Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City’s Wild Card Rewards upon arrival.
Quick Thoughts
If you like Atlantic City, getting free nights at a new casino with a status you already have isn’t bad. Note that your stay is subject to a $22 per night resort fee. I hate resort fees, but that pales in comparison to going summertime rates at the Hard Rock, which is expected to open at the end of June after a $500 million renovation of the former Taj Mahal property.
They list individual casinos from which you can match status, but several of them are Caesar’s properties and thus all use the same Caesar’s Total Rewards. The Borgata is an M Life property, so your M Life status ought to do the trick.
Personally, I matched Hyatt Diamond status before the change to World of Hyatt to M Life Platinum status, and for some reason I’ve maintained that status — meaning that I could book 2 free nights with this offer. I don’t think Baby Rey is ready for his first trip to Atlantic City, so I’ll probably give this one a pass myself. However, it’s a great deal for those who qualify.
According to the promo, it sounds like you’ll have to show a physical player’s club card showing your status in that program. For example, I don’t have my physical M Life card, so I’d stop by the Borgata before going to the Hard Rock and have them print me a new one. This should be possible at any player’s club desk and usually just takes a few minutes.
If you have Hyatt Explorist status, remember that you can match that status to M Life Gold, good for 1 free night with this offer. You could alternatively get one free night if you have Total Rewards Diamond status. You can get that status via Founders Card membership or via match from Wyndham Rewards Diamond status. You can get Wyndham Platinum status from the $75 annual fee version of the Wyndham Rewards credit card. (Wyndham Rewards Platinum comes with the $75 fee Wyndham card, but will only get you Total Rewards Platinum).

Doesn’t work.. Got the email for the complimentary room. Have my Hard Rock Premier Wild Card. And have a Mlife Sapphire card. Why am I not eligible when I called?

I have a Diamond Card from total rewards and a M-life Card. Could I use both to get 2 consecutive nights in a row?

Do we think this is a one time promotion and/or expiring soon? My girlfriend and I are both Caesars Diamond and trying to decide if we should invite another couple to join us and book both of our free rooms. We’d rather use both free stays on us, but if it’s going to expire or not be usable for summer 2019 then we’ll invite our friends. Curious what others think!
Is there a credit card besides Founders that comes with Total Rewards Diamond status? Seems like you say Wyndam has one. Thx
Founders Card isn’t a credit card, it’s a membership card.
EDITED: See my response below.
Nick, Wyndham Platinum matches only to TR Platinum, not Diamond, as the page you just linked to confirms, FYI.
Wow – I had that totally mixed up in my mind, I think because I knew the Wyndham status got you a free stay at Atlantis, so I thought it was TR Diamond. I was wrong and I have updated the post as you are absolutely correct. Thanks for commenting.
Thanks! I’m Premium at Parx, might give this a shot — depending on if my preggo wife wants to go to AC! That was my playground for quite a while until PA got casinos and I switched entirely to Parx (i live 10 minutes from there). Used to be diamond in Total Rewards too, ahhhh the good ol’ days before marriage, 😀
Nick–help us out please. I signed up for MLife per your article in February and then matched it back to Hyatt to keep Explorist (brilliant, by the way). I now have MLife Gold. I just now used MLife Gold to create an account at the Borgata (which looks like I get a comped night just for doing that signup). Was I supposed to receive a physical loyalty card from MLife, or am I supposed to receive a physical loyalty card from the Borgata, to show to the Hard Rock in Atlantic City? Thanks in advance.
I should have mentioned that. Sounds like you’ll need to show a physical card at check-in, so stop by the Borgata first when you get to town and have them print you a fresh one (should be able to do that at any player’s club desk).
So you already had MLife Gold and you signed up for “another” account at the Borgata to get the free night? I thought they used MLife already?
Can’t explain it but it worked! Used my MLife credentials to create an MLife Borgata account, since when I tried to sign directly into MLife Borgata, it said I needed to create an MLife Borgata account using my MLife credentials. Free night at Borgata is good for two months. Some dates aren’t comped, but most are available for free.
Just did the same thing and it worked too! Got a free night at Borgata until 6/20. Thanks for the help/info!
Funny – I knew this was going on back when it was first announced that MGM was buying Borgata (they had a separate program and you could status match at the time). Didn’t know it was still working.
Place is going to look amazing with the $500 renovation. Can’t wait to see what they have done. Maybe change a couple of faucets? Lol
Ha! I mean, I’m sure it was only built with the best materials to begin with. Didn’t need much work, right?
Fixed 🙂
