Update 11/28/24: This increased transfer bonus to Virgin Atlantic expires on Saturday, November 30th. Virgin’s recent change to dynamic pricing has actually made for some pretty good deals, so it might be worth checking to see if there’s anything out there that you can make use of.

Although some transferable currencies launch new transfer bonuses on the first of a month, Chase seems to have started launching some on the first of the month and some mid-month.
October is no exception as there’s a new 40% bonus when transferring Ultimate Rewards to Virgin Atlantic.
The Deal
- Get a 40% bonus when transferring Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club.
Key Terms
- Expires November 30, 2024 at 11:59pm ET.
Quick Thoughts
Earning 40% additional miles is a great bonus, but if you don’t have plans to make award bookings with Virgin in the next couple of weeks, it’d be best to hold off on transferring speculatively.
That’s because a couple of weeks ago Virgin announced that they’ll be moving to dynamic award pricing from October 30. We’re not sure yet quite how that’ll shake out, so it’d be a shame to transfer a bunch of Ultimate Rewards only to discover that dynamic pricing renders the 40% bonus meaningless.
Virgin Atlantic. Where your Chase Ultimate Rewards points go to die . . . because you will be long dead before you find any availability.
As of a few days ago there were some insanely cheap business class points redemptions from ATL to the UK.
I think Chase should offer a 30% bonus on transfers to Hyatt.
I think the tree in my backyard should grow $100 bills, but neither of these have a chance of happening.
How do you figure? The Hyatt part, not the tree?
People don’t need any more incentive to redeem chase points to hyatt. It will never happen. The transfer bonuses only happen for partners that want to bring in more Americans….which are basically always foreign partners.
