Frequent Miler's latest team challenge, Million Mile Madness, is almost done! The last two weeks Greg, Nick, and Stephen competed to earn 1 Million SAS miles by flying 15 airlines. But who completed the challenge with the most Speed, Affordability, and Style?
Bank of America (BOA) has announced a partnership with Starbucks that could be pretty rewarding for the coffee-addicted (like me). Once you add your Bank of America card to the Starbucks app and then use it to make in-app purchases or pay inside a store, you’ll get 2% cashback and an additional Starbucks Star for every $2 you spend.
Even better, the 2% cashback is in addition to the normal rewards that you’d receive on your credit card.
The Deal
- Bank of America credit card holders can now get an extra 2% cashback at Starbucks, in addition to one bonus star for every $2 in purchases
- Must enroll, add credit card to app and then use the app to pay in order to receive rewards
How to Get Cashback at Starbucks
- Go to the BankAmeriDeals webpage and enroll your card.
- Log into your Starbucks account and save your enrolled card to your wallet.
- Use your card to pay for purchases in-app or in-store or use it to add money to the app. All three will earn you an additional 2% cashback.

This list is subject to change at any time.

Quick Thoughts
Truth be told, although I live in the seat of the Starbucks empire, I’m actually not a huge fan of the coffee. However, I know many, many people who are. For them, this is a great deal.
There’s no cost to enroll, pretty much all BOA cards are eligible and the 2% cashback is in addition to whatever rewards you already receive from purchases on the card. For instance, Greg the Frequent Miler loves his Bank of America Premium Rewards card with Platinum Honors Status because it gives him 2.62% cashback everywhere. If he enrolls his card and adds it to his Starbucks wallet, he’d then get 4.62% back on all Starbucks purchases, as well as the additional stars that can be redeemed for free food and drinks. Coffee’s on Greg!
Don’t forget that Starbucks also partners with Delta Air Lines and awards SkyMiles members 1 mile for every $1 in purchases. My assumption is that this will stack with the BOA promo, meaning that you could earn 1 SkyMile, 2% cashback and credit card rewards on every dollar you spend at Starbucks. That’s a pretty good return on your morning pick-me-up.
I get 50% cash back on coffee by making my own as opposed to shopping at Starbucks….lol
Is it even actually showing up on the BankAmeriDeals portal? I’ve been checking it since yesterday and it doesn’t appear for me. FWIW I have the consumer and business Alaska cards, the Premium Rewards, and the Premium Rewards Elite cards.
I only have Alaska cards and it’s showing for me. I don’t even need to go into the portal. When I sign into my account, there’s a box named “activity center” on the right side of the page. The Starbucks deal appears there. It’s also showing in the portal as well.
It was not showing for me yesterday but it did today.
Starbucks is a company that is complicit on the mass deliberate starvation and genocide unfolding in Gaza. This should not be promoted. I would encourage everyone with a Starbucks loyalty account to close it.
