As I peruse Black Friday deals, I just stumbled on a decent one and figured I’d share one I snagged: Amazon has a Pixel Watch 2 on sale for $145.00 in select colors. That’s $34 cheaper than the Google Store directly — and better yet, you can earn 10% back when using an Amazon Prime Visa or if you have a card eligible for one of the pay-with-points rebates, you might be able to get the price down to around $105. I often use my Pixel Watch to pay for things in-person since I have my US Bank Altitude Reserve linked to Google Pay so that I can earn 3x points for an effective ~4.5% back when paying with my watch or phone.
The Deal
- Amazon.com currently has the Google Pixel Watch 2 in two select colors for $145 each
Quick Thoughts
I use my Google Pixel watch quite frequently — both as a way of quickly checking notifications without taking my phone out of my pocket and as a means to pay for things using Google Pay.
To the latter point, it works as an excellent companion with my US Bank Altitude Reserve card since I can activate Google Pay on the watch and pay at NFC-enabled payment terminals. Sometimes when I’m out for a walk with the family, I might forget to grab my wallet before leaving the house, but I’ve still been able to stop and grab something at the store and pay with my watch or phone. And when I’m abroad, I find tap-to-pay rather ubiquitous, and my Pixel watch has been great for that.
During our most recent challenge, I changed the face on my watch to display both the local time and the time in New York so I could keep track of when my family might be awake to chat or send some pics back and forth.
Anyway, it’s a device I use frequently. At $145, it’s a solid deal, albeit the previous generation model now (the latest is the Pixel Watch 3). Still, I can’t imagine what the 3 does that would make me feel a need to upgrade (though truth be told, I don’t know what it does, so maybe I’m missing something big?).
Anyway, at $145, this hit me as a solidly good deal. It’s not the absolute best deal ever — it’s apparently been on clearance for a while at Target and as low as $75 if you can find it, but it doesn’t sound like it’s an easy find. Apart from that, this looked to be about as good as it was going to get.
In my case, I stacked with the offer to get 40% up to $40 when using at least 1 Amex Membership Rewards point (see this post for more). Note that I also saw an ad for 20% off up to $20 when using Capital One Miles and I’m also seeing 30% off up to $30 when using 1 US Bank point at this link (our affiliate link). There are a lot of ways to save when using just 1 point! (Be sure not to use more than 1 point or mile because the value for an Amazon purchase is very poor — it makes sense to use 1 point just to activate the discount!)
I used one of my linked Amex cards and got that additional $40 off, paying $105 plus tax. Again, that’s more than a Target clearance treasure hunt, but given that I don’t live anywhere near a Target and given my historical record of complete strikeouts with Target clearance deals (as in never have gotten a single one of the hot Target clearance deals), I’m glad to have clicked through and ordered this in my pajama pants.
I probably won’t cover ever single Black Friday deal I see, but when it’s a product like this that I personally use and enjoy, I’ll try to pop out a couple of shorter quick deals of this sort over the coming days.

Jesus , your resting heart rate is 105?????
It went up when he saw this deal.
If you think any of the Million Mile Madness challenge was spent at a place remotely resembling “resting”, then you weren’t watching. 🙂
No it’s the price if you pay with points – $105.
