Happy Cards Amex Offer Spend $100 Get $15 Back

Quick Thoughts

Getting 15% off any brand of Happy gift card is a great offer as they can be used at a wide range of retailers and restaurants depending on the Happy brand you choose.

Many Happy cards now have to be redeemed online rather than being useable in-store. Depending on your perspective, that could be a good or bad thing. The downside of the online redemption cards is that they can’t be used in-store at Lowe’s, Bed Bath & Beyond, etc. to buy third party gift cards as the online redemption process involves converting the Happy card to a gift card (or gift cards) for the retailer(s) and/ or restaurant(s) of your choosing.

There are a couple of upsides to the Happy cards which have to be redeemed online though. For starters, they’re delivered via email and so you don’t have to wait for them to be shipped to you which is handy if you want to make use of them straight away. If you’re then wanting to convert them to a gift card for whatever reason, you can do that from the comfort of your own home rather than having to go in to the store to buy their gift card with the Happy gift card.

This all assumes that your order doesn’t get cancelled. With the last couple of HappyCards.com Amex Offers I’ve placed orders but my orders have been cancelled by them for some reason. Provided your order gets fulfilled though, it’s a good offer.

This Amex Offer appears to be widely available on cards, but if you don’t get it on the Amex card you want to pay with then try using the link listed in ‘The Deal’ section above. That links to the Amex Offer on the Amex Connect site and you’ll hopefully be able to select which Amex card it gets added to.

I used this offer. Charge came up on my Amex vendor as “BHN Giftcard mall” and happycards refuses to credit me the $15. I have NO control over the name the vendor uses to process charge. I used the link (happycards.com) in the AmEx offer to buy the card. Do I smell some sort of scam going on here?
