Tons of new third party gift card deals have become available over the past 24-48 hours, so here’s a list of them to help ensure you don’t miss out on any brands you’re interested in.
Meijer
The Deal & Key Terms
- Earn $5 reward for every $50 spent on third party gift cards.
- Direct link to offer.
- Limit 10.
- Expires August 17, 2019.
- Excludes numerous brands including Amazon (see full terms using direct link above).
Quick Thoughts
Although Amazon gift cards are excluded, other brands like Best Buy, eBay, Airbnb, Home Depot and Lowe’s are all eligible. The limit of 10 means you can get $500 in grocery store bonused spend and potentially make a profit reselling them if you didn’t want any for personal use. Note that the $5 rewards can take up to a couple of hours to be loaded to your mPerks account.
You don’t have to buy 10x $50 gift cards for this deal – one $500 gift card will also earn you $50 in rewards.
Facebook/PayPal Digital Gifts
The Deal & Key Terms
- Buy $50 Hotels.com gift cards for $42.50.
- Direct link to offer.
- Limit unknown (probably 2 or 3).
Quick Thoughts
15% off Hotels.com gift cards is a nice discount, especially seeing as you’ll also earn Welcome Rewards when redeeming them. Pay with a Discover card as PayPal is a 5% category this quarter.
Rite Aid
The Deals & Key Terms
- Earn Wellness+ Rewards BonusCash when buying the following gift card brands:
- Buy $25 gift cards & get $5 BonusCash
- Uber
- IHOP
- Buy $50 gift cards & get $10 BonusCash
- Applebee’s
- StubHub
- Buy $25 gift cards & get $5 BonusCash
- Nike
- The Children’s Place
- Buy $25 gift cards & get $5 BonusCash
- Limit 2 offers per customer per card pairing.
- Expires July 27, 2019.
Quick Thoughts
If you value BonusCash as good as cash, 20% back is great on some of these brands and makes some of them potentially profitable for reselling. If you have a BoA Cash Rewards card that was targeted for the double cashback promotion, you can earn 6% if you have drugstores selected as your 3% category.
eGifter
The Deal & Key Terms
- Buy $110 Home Depot gift cards for $100 with promo code HOME7.
- Direct link to offer.
- Limit 5 per customer.
- Expires July 31, 2019 or while supplies last.
Quick Thoughts
This deal has already been around for a couple of days, but I doubt it’ll last until July 31. This represents a 9.1% discount which is fairly good for Home Depot.
I’ve never had any luck with eGifter processing my orders (they keep canceling them due to fraud concerns), so if the same thing happens to you, you might have better luck with the next deal.
PayPal Digital Gifts
The Deals & Key Terms
- Buy $110 Home Depot gift cards for $100 – limit 1.
- Buy $100 Southwest gift cards for $90 – limit unknown.
Quick Thoughts
Similar to the Facebook/PPDG deal on Hotels.com gift cards, pay with a Discover card to earn 5% this quarter.
Staples
The Deal & Key Terms
- Buy $100 Lowe’s gift cards for $90.
- Direct link to offer.
- Limit 3.
- Expires July 27, 2019 or while supplies last.
Quick Thoughts
This deal probably won’t last until Saturday, so jump on it while you can if you want these. Don’t forget the latest Staples Amex Offer to get an additional $10/1,000 Membership Rewards back. Seeing as the Amex Offer is only based on $40 of spend, buy one using that card, then pay for the other two with a card that earns more at office supply stores.
Dollar General
The Deal & Key Terms
- Save $5 when buying two of the following gift cards:
- Netflix
- Hulu
- Google Play
- Sling
- Cracker Barrel
- $10 gift cards are excluded.
- Expires July 27, 2019.
- Limit 1.
Quick Thoughts
The best way to maximize this will be to buy two $15 Netflix gift cards as that’ll give you savings of 16.67%.
Best Buy
The Deals & Key Terms
- Buy $100 Hotels.com gift card for $90 – limit 3.
- Buy $50 Gap Options gift card & get $5 Best Buy eGift card free – limit 3.
- Expires July 21, 2019.
Quick Thoughts
Adding three $50 Gap Options gift cards to your cart only adds one $5 Best Buy eGift card, so buy these in separate transactions if you’re interested.
i suppose none of these cards earns cash back from portals?
It’s unlikely. A lot of these deals are in-store only and the online ones usually exclude gift card purchases. Having said that, it’s always worth clicking through from a portal just in case it does track.
