Here’s How To Find Hidden Shop Small Amex Offers

14
With Amex now offering up to 15x rewards for shopping small, you might be more interested than before in Amex Offers for small businesses.  With these, it should be possible to double-dip: Earn 10x or 15x with your new Platinum card and earn cash back or points with these Shop Small offers.  Also, for those with an Amex card issued by a bank other than Amex, we now have a link to enroll in the new $10 Shop Small Amex Offer [not yet working for Amex’s own cards].  The original post follows…

American Express has announced that they’ll be bringing back Shop Small on June 29. In conjunction with that, they’ll be releasing a new $10 Shop Small Amex Offer to help support small businesses.

Did you know though that there are currently loads of other Shop Small Amex Offers but which are hidden away? They don’t get displayed under your normal Amex Offers section, but there is a way to get them to show up.

Shop Small Amex Offers

To find them, go to this page and scroll down until you see the image above. To the right of it is a button saying ‘Explore Offers’. That’ll prompt you to log in to your account; once you’ve done that, you’ll be greeted with a brand new Shop Small tab in your Amex Offers section.

Most of the Amex Offers seem to be for location-specific restaurants and so they’ll be of limited use, but it could be handy if you’ll be traveling to any cities with participating restaurants or if you live near them in the first place.

A few of these Shop Small Amex Offers have appeared in my regular Amex Offers, such as Dropps. However, most of them I’ve never seen and they disappear if logging in to my account without having clicked through from the Shop Small page. If you load them to your card, they do show up afterwards; it’s only when trying to load them that you need to have clicked through from the Shop Small page.

It’ll be interesting to see if Amex adds even more of these Shop Small Amex Offers next week when Shop Small 2021 officially kicks off.

I have spend $10 small shop and get $5 back, up to 2 times, expires in August. My favorite neighborhood restaurants are on the list. I wonder if I can double dip on my Aspire card, $20 restaurant credit/monthly and $5 shop small ?

Patty

I was able to get it on my Amex cards from Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s. Hoping it will be available on all Amex cards soon!

This shop small offer wasn’t under the ‘my offers’ section so I started a chat to sign up. The chat agent didn’t have a clue what I was talking about, so it’s HUCA time.

The link is only if you have a Amex credit card issued by other bank. If you have a real Amex card the link will tell you to check your Amex offers. That’s what happened to me. And then I don’t find it in Amex offers

Justin

The link to sign up for the $10 off didn’t work for me. After filling out the form, it took me to a sign in page for my account where I don’t have the offer on any of my cards.

You’re right, it doesn’t seem to be working yet. I’ve updated the post accordingly. Sorry about that.

[…] out, per a report by Frequent Miler, there’s a “hidden” set of offers that’s not visible from the main account […]

My offers are for restaurants in NYC, where I have never lived and have not visited in several years. Is there a trick to get offers at least in my state, which is in the West?

Thanks, Stephen. Wish they would make it easier to find, but I did load $100/$20 offer for P1 and P2 at a lovely nearby winery/restaurant.
