Marriott lets you transfer up to 100,000 points per calendar year to another person for free, and that person can receive up to 500,000 points, assuming multiple people are transferring points to them. We’ll show you how this works.
(00:26) – Once you’re logged in on the Marriott Bonvoy homepage, scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page. (If you do this on a different page, you may see a different menu at the bottom. Do this from the homepage.) If you scroll down to the bottom, you’ll see a link to redeem points under the Marriott Bonvoy options. Click on redeem points.
(00:49) – Close to the bottom of that page, you’ll see this section titled unlock more with points. And there are several different options. Click the “share points” option. (If you choose to gift points, you’ll be buying points for somebody else, which has a cost.)
(01:37) – From there, it’s very easy. Just enter the recipient’s first name, last name, member number, and the amount that you want to transfer.
(02:15) – Now, let’s look at how to do this on the Marriott app on your phone. Go to account, and just under your points balance, where it says earn and redeem, click “more”
(02:43) – Again, click “transfer points” (not “gift points”). The rest is exactly the same as what you saw on the web.

Able to transfer Hilton points person to person?
Yes. We have a video showing how to do that that we published last year. I just did this again myself a few days ago and transferring online, rather than pooling, was instant.

P2 has recently been unable to transfer Marriott points to me online. Customer support claims this is bc my last name is hyphenated. Has anyone else had this issue?
Can the transfer extend the points expiration date?
I have this same question.
