There’s a new IHG Amex Offer that dropped this week, giving $50 back when you spend at least $250 across Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, EVEN, avid, Atwell Suites and Garner Hotels. The spend requirement is additive, so it can be on more than one transaction, and the total spend must be reached by June 15th, 2024 in order to trigger the offer.
The Deal
- Get a one-time $50 statement credit by using your enrolled eligible Card to spend a minimum of $250 in one or more purchases on room rate and room charges, when you pay for your stay at participating IHG® Hotels & Resorts from 3/14/2024 to 6/15/2024.
Terms and Conditions
- Must first add offer to Card and then use same Card to redeem.
- Offer valid in the US and US territories at participating IHG® Hotels & Resorts.
- Valid only for Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, EVEN Hotels, avid hotels, Atwell Suites, Garner Hotels brands under IHG.
- Reservations must be made directly through IHG online at IHG.com, by calling 1-877-424-2449, or through the US merchant mobile app IHG.
- Excludes all other brands. Excludes gift cards and electronic gift cards.
- Offer only valid on room rate and room charges.
- Offer not valid for lodging stays that are paid for before the promotion start date or after the promotion end date.
- Valid only on purchases made in US dollars.
Quick Thoughts
It’s been about a year since we’ve seen an Amex offer for IHG, which makes sense given that Chase issues all of IHG’s credit cards. While the terms officially exclude gift cards, normally these offers can be triggered by buying a gift card from the front desk of a hotel. That said, most IHG hotels won’t sell gift cards at the front desk, with the notable exception of Kimpton…which isn’t included in this sale.
If you have paid stays at Holiday Inn/Express or any of the other offered brands, this is a winner and it’s widely targeted…I have it on most of my Amex Membership Rewards-earning cards. Be sure to register for IHG’s current promotion before your stay(s). There’s also another promo offering 3x points at EVEN, avid, Atwell Suites and Garner, four of the brands included in this Amex Offer.

One question. It’s saying “one or more purchases”, which means if I book two different stays at two different IHG locations, as long as the total is above 250, I should get the credit, right?
