While doing a little bit of research for the latest Rover Amex Offer, I noticed something interesting. Cashback Monitor had three entries for earning cashback when booking services with Rover. One of these was particularly eye-catching as it said “Rover – Card Linked”.
Anytime I see the words “Card Linked” I get excited as these types of offers can usually be stacked with other offers to earn/save even more. When clicking through to the listing on Cashback Monitor, two shopping portals were listed – the Choice Privileges Online Mall and the JetBlue TrueBlue shopping portal.
Perusing the card linked offers section of JetBlue’s shopping portal showed some intriguing possibilities that should make it extremely easy to earn bonus TrueBlue points with very little effort.
At the time of writing this post, there are only 18 retailers participating in this particular card linked program. However, a few of them are notable, especially Lowe’s. You’ll earn 3 TrueBlue points for every dollar spent at Lowe’s with a credit card that you’ve linked to the program. That’s an excellent bonus if you’re a construction worker who spends a ton at Lowe’s anyway. You should be able to earn these bonus TrueBlue points when registering a Lowe’s Amex card if that’s what you use, although I don’t think other types of Lowe’s store cards will be eligible as I don’t think they’re Visa, Mastercard or American Express cards.
There’s currently a Lowe’s Amex Offer that offers a 10% statement credit which is good on up to $1,000 of spend. If you link the card that you have the Amex Offer loaded to and max out the Amex Offer, you’d earn 3,000 bonus TrueBlue points in addition to whatever points/miles you’d earn from the credit card. Lowe’s stores have a gift card rack with a wide selection of gift card brands, so saving 10% on those and earning 3,000 TrueBlue miles is a great deal if you’ve not already redeemed that Amex Offer.
If you’ll be buying regular merchandise from Lowe’s, you could place the order online and click through a shopping portal to try to triple stack offers. Having said that, I’m not 100% sure if online orders track with this program or if only in-store transactions are eligible.
Another way you can triple stack offers is with Rover. There’s currently a Rover Amex Offer giving $10 back when spending $50, plus you can earn 2,000 American Airlines AAdvantage miles on your first booking and 1 mile per dollar on subsequent bookings (learn more about both of those here: Rover Amex Offer: Spend $50 & Get $10 Back (Pet Care While On Vacation))
JetBlue is also offering 3 points per dollar on Rover bookings. Seeing as their offer is card linked rather than needing to go through a portal or being linked to your actual Rover account, it’ll stack with the American Airlines offer and the Amex Offer. Be sure to read the terms of JetBlue TrueBlue card linked offers though as this Rover offer is limited to three redemptions.
Several Gap brands are eligible partners too, also offering 3 points per dollar. This provides limited potential as usually you’ll be better off buying discounted gift cards for Gap brands seeing as they often go on sale for 10-20% off.
This will be worth it though when there are Amex and Chase Offers. For example, there’s currently a targeted Old Navy Chase Offer that gives a 10% statement credit and which is good on up to $100 of spend. Many Old Navy stores have a gift card rack that I’ve found usually include brands like Amazon, so the Chase Offer is a good way to save 10% on a $100 gift card, plus you can now earn 300 TrueBlue points to go with it.
JetBlue TrueBlue Card Linked Program – Important Things To Know
Reading through their FAQs, there are a few things that I thought would be important to highlight:
1) It can take up to 24 hours for a card to be fully registered with TrueBlue shopping. It’d therefore be best to register your cards sooner rather than later to ensure any eligible purchases are tracked correctly.
2) It can take 7 days for the purchase to show in your TrueBlue account. I only just discovered this card linked program, so I haven’t had a chance to test out how long different offers take to track in reality. I’m also not sure if they send you an email notification once it’s tracked or if the points just show up in your account.
3) You can register up to 10 cards. While it would be nice to be able to register all your credit cards like some card linked programs offer, 10 is still a good amount seeing as you can add, delete and change card details. If you have certain Amex cards that you always add Amex Offers to, it’d be worth preemptively linking those cards now so that you don’t forget in the future.
4) You don’t have to load offers. Once you’ve registered your card(s), all current offers available in the JetBlue TrueBlue card linked program are automatically linked to your card – you don’t have to manually link any of the offers which is a really nice feature.
5) The program is run on the back end by Collinson Latitude. That’s great news as it should mean it’ll stack with other card linked programs like Dosh when eligible retailers overlap.
Choice Privileges Online Mall
I’ve focused this post on JetBlue’s shopping portal as that had offers for Lowe’s, Gap, Old Navy and several more brands that aren’t available with the Choice Privileges Online Mall card linked program. The Choice shopping mall will be worth keeping an eye on though seeing as it looks like the offers on the two malls aren’t identical.

The one big thing you need to know about this is that coupons that are on the website only(if say, you are shopping at Lowes, and there is a coupon at Lowes that IS NOT on the Jetblue site), this invalidates your purchase. Most times, you will save more with the actual coupon than the miles you would earn. I learned this the hard way when trying to earn AA miles thru the portal.
That’s certainly the case many times with shopping portals, but this card-linked offer is a little different as using a coupon shouldn’t affect whether or not you earn miles – they just look at what you’ve spent.
I noticed both Choice & jetBlue have a number of the same retailers, i.e., WM. If I register a card on both sites, would I get points on both sites…or none?
Wondering the same. For most merchants, JetBlue has a better return but for Motley Fool (at 26 pts/$ !!!) Choice is better.
I noticed when I registered a card at JetBlue first (gave it a nickname) that when I added the same card to Choice, it pulled the nickname across as well. Oddly Choice did not give the option of MasterCard but JetBlue did.
Both JetBlue and Choice are run by Collinson Latitude, so I’d expect that you’d only get points for one site. If it runs like Rewards Network (that dining programs tend to run on), if you add a card to one it deselects it on the other, so be careful if you add a card to one program after adding it to the other if you actually want to collect points with the original program.

Coincidentally, I’m working on a construction project at the moment. I have a mountain of points to build. Lowe’s carries my kind of materials.

ah… I have 5 amex cards each with a lowes amex offer. I already used 1 buying Amazon $1000 worth of giftcards but still have 4 to go. Good thing I didn’t go all the way before discovering this. If this all work, I would end with\r 12000 points worth $160 at least that i would have left on the table. Thanks for discovering this!!! I love this game.
Is JetBlue only one doing this linked card offer I wonder? TrueBlue points are nice but I rather pick up other miles like Alaska miles.
I think JetBlue and Choice Hotels are the only programs with this particular feature right now. Most other airline shopping portals are run by Cartera rather than Collinson Latitude. Some airline shopping portals do have card linked programs (e.g. Alaska https://www.mileageplanshopping.com/instore). Although they seem to have a wider range of participating retailers, the miles offered tend to be lower and Lowe’s isn’t an eligible retailer.
