I redeemed this offer with a $448.02 folio and got 6000 points instead of 3000 points. Seems if your bills is 400 or more it just gives you the max. The offer on my card was not marked as “redeemed” though.
I had a reservation back in Oct for a Marriott stay in Dc 28th, and may question is whether the reservation date must be after the available date of the offer? My stay date is fine, but my reservation was made in Oct, before the offer available date of Dec 19th. Thanks.
All Amex cares about is when the payment hits the card.
Be careful: IHG Accelerate hosed me for precisely this reason.
Went into my local Courtyard (SoCal) and bought a $200 Gift Card in the lobby with my Amex Bus Platinum. They said that it will only work at Courtyard and not any other Marriott. The card says that it can be used at participating Marriott and Ritz-Carlton. I’ve received 2 “Good News” e-mails from Amex Offers, so hopefully both offers will work.
Just wondering if you got the points after the Marriott gift card purchase? Thanks.
