Many Meijer locations sell variable-load Visa Gift Cards. Assuming a $5.95 activation fee, you’ll instantly make a profit of $4.05 before taking into account credit card rewards, which could be lucrative given some current short-term COVID credit card enhancements. That said, as GC Galore notes, you’ll probably want to avoid paying with an Amex card given recent claw-backs.
