Sears Shop Your Way has launched a new version of a promotion they offered the other day good for $20 back in cashback points on a $20 order or $50 back in points on a $100 order.
The Deal
- Get $20 back in cashback points when you spend $20 or $50 back in cashback points when you spend $100 on items shipped and sold by Sears (some exclusions apply)
- Find this offer by scrolling down the Sears.com home page
Quick Thoughts
I skipped a “key terms” section above because the terms of this one are not very clear. I found the banner shown above by scrolling about 2/3 of the way down the Sears.com home page. There is a link to “see all offer disclosures” underneath it, but the terms linked there do not mention this particular offer. My best guess is that the terms of this one closely mirror the deal Stephen posted a couple of days ago (See: Sears: Spend $20 Get $20 In Points / Spend $40 Get $40 In Points On Home Goods From Overstock), which has since expired.
Note that points should show in your account the day after your order is placed and you usually only have 7 days to use the bonus cashback points. According to escot in the comments on that previous deal, this one might work for multiple separate orders from the same account. However, I would tread carefully on that: Sears has been known to claw back points or fail to award them at times in the past. If you have placed multiple orders and do not automatically receive the points tomorrow, I imagine you may not receive much help from Sears.
Still, this promotion is worth at least one order. Portal cash back has increased to 8.5% cash back at the time of writing, which means another $1.60 back for a net total of ~$18.40 before taxes to receive $40 worth of merchandise ($20 today and $20 that can be used tomorrow). Sears sells enough home essentials for most people to find some value in that.

Hi Nick, Appreciate your caution to “tread carefully” re. “multiple orders from the same account.” (and appreciate too that you, Stephen, & Greg @ FM have kept up the tradition of regular monitoring of Sears/SYW deals…. 🙂
I think I can confirm your caution too. Even as the $20 back (in SYW points) on $20 purchase promo is still showing after logging in (as I’d noted yesterday), when I prepare a test order, add items to cart, I now see that the $20+ in points to be added is NOT there (as it was on yesterday’s order)
Happy are those who got this $20 back on the current and previous promo. (once per account; one time for each promo….) Will be watching for opportunity #3. 🙂
ps, more data points: approx. $21 in SYW points from yesterday’s on-line purchase have already posted, and another $1.80 tracked already via topcashback portal. (And yes, I did use a Sears giftcard — which I’d gotten at substantial discount too.) TCB portal is up to 10% today for Sears.
