Marriott has sent out another round of targeted offers for Bonvoy members giving free night certificates or large numbers of bonus points when booking paid stays.
The Deal
- Earn free night certificates or bonus points when booking paid Marriott stays. Example offers include:
- Earn 7,500 bonus points on your first stay and 15,000 bonus points on your second stay
- Earn a 35,000 point free night certificate on your first stay and another 35,000 point free night certificate on your second stay
- Direct link to see if you’re targeted.
Key Terms
- Registration must occur within three weeks of receiving this email.
- A “stay” is defined as one or more consecutive nights spent at the same hotel, regardless of check-in/checkout activity on any points-eligible rate (“Qualifying Rate”). Remember to book directly on marriott.com to earn.
Quick Thoughts
Not all Bonvoy members have been targeted for these offers. You should receive an email if you’ve been selected, but it’s worth checking the main Promotions page linked to above as it should show there if you were targeted and missed their email.
These targeted offers can be very generous. Earning 7,500 bonus points on your first stay and 15,000 bonus points on your second stay is a great return, especially when taking into account the points you’ll earn as standard and earnings when clicking through from a portal.
The free night certificate offers are even better if all you have to do is stay one night to get a free night certificate. If you have a cheap Marriott property near you, it could even be worth a mattress run if you can put the 35,000 point certificate to good use.
The timing of this latest round of offers could be particularly useful if you need a few nights to attain status this year. If you book your stay(s) by the end of the year, you could end up getting the elite night credits you need while also earning a bunch of bonus points or some free night certificates along the way.
With past free night certificate offers, the certs you received expired after six months. I don’t know if that’ll be the case this time; the expiry date of the certs wasn’t listed in the terms of the offer last time when Greg was targeted – it wasn’t until he received them that he saw that they didn’t last a full year. That’s something to bear in mind if you might decide to complete this offer soon but wouldn’t have a chance to redeem the certificates in the first half of 2022.
Not targeted for any.
Suggestions on where to get best value from 3 x 50k free night certificates?

I seem to never get any of these. Not very different from AMEX offers.
P2 Got the 7,500 after the first stay, 15,000 after 2nd
I got Nut ‘n’ Honey. I’ve got a conference in March with a paid Marriott stay followed by a road trip. I could use a good promo soon.
I got two free certs during the promo last year on a road trip and those final two stays bumped me into titanium.
Double points only. Going back to Hyatt.
Not targeted. Boo
Double points on all stays of 2 nights and more. I am happy!
Free night cert terms: “Free Night Awards will be added to the member’s account within 3–5 business days after the first and second qualifying stays, and are valid for 6 months from the date of issuance.”
This is mattress-run worthy, but I’ll plan to delay my stays until I can use them during summer months.
I don’t know about many of you, but I have been loyal Marriott and I never get targeted with the promos. I’m crossing the lifetime platinum threshold here shortly and will probably start working getting my Hyatt status up.
if you’ve been loyal why would they tragedy you ? I’m pretty sure this is to generate new customer loyalty. Existing customers bank of the promos.
I got a rock.
Double points on paid stays that include a weekend night
LTT – no offers
No surprise
Didn’t get the promos listed but did get double points.
No promos, no care, dumping card and Marriott
