Office Depot is running a new Mastercard gift card deal this week. It wasn’t listed in their weekly ad, but stores have signs advising that you’ll get a $15 discount instantly when spending $300 or more on Mastercard gift cards.

Quick Thoughts
$200 Mastercard gift cards come with a $6.95 fee at Office Depot. If you buy two of them, you’ll make $1.10 profit and be able to get in some bonused spend on a card that earns more at office supply stores.
For example, the Chase Ink Plus and Ink Cash cards earn 5x/5% respectively. With this deal, buying $400 of Mastercard gift cards would earn you 1,995 Ultimate Rewards or $19.95 cashback, depending on which Ink card you have. If you have an Ink Cash card, that $19.95 can become 1,995 transferable Ultimate Rewards if you have a premium card that earns Ultimate Rewards.
There’s a limit of 1, but you should be able to do this deal more than once so long as you have a friendly cashier. Otherwise, you might need to make trips to multiple stores and/or on multiple days.
