Update 11/28: Preferred Hotels and Resorts has extended this sale an additional 2 days. It now ends Wednesday, 11/29.
Preferred Hotels is advertising a Cyber Monday sale whereby members of its I Prefer loyalty program can get a free night and 30,000 bonus points when they book by Wednesday, 11/29 and use promo code MKTCYB and book at least two paid nights. In other words, it’s like a “third night free” promotion with a bonus of 30,000 points. Stays must be booked by 11/29 for travel through 3/31/24. This could work out to be a great deal in some circumstances.
The Deal
- Preferred Hotels is offering a “free night now” and a “free night later” for Cyber Monday: Book a paid stay of a minimum of two nights and get an extra night for free on that reservation plus 30,000 points when you use promo code MKTCYB.

Quick Thoughts
This could be a decent offer if you have interest in staying at a participating property. I see some participating properties in the US with rates between $128-$200, so three nights could become very reasonable with the third night free offer — getting 30,000 point also could be nice icing on the cake.
While 30,000 points is enough to get you a free night at some properties, I see award costs ranging to upwards of 100K points per night at some properties, so this won’t be enough points for a night at I Prefer’s most luxurious properties. You can check award rates here. There are just over a dozen properties in the US that cost 30K points per night or fewer and a smaller handful within Europe. Mexico has a number of properties that cost 15K points per night. You could probably come out of this offer in pretty good shape if you value both the initial 3-night stay and the points.
Keep in mind that the points will be awarded within two weeks after your stay is completed and will expire in a year, so be sure you’ll be ready to use them or you’ll lose them. Also keep in mind that some Preferred Hotels can be booked via Choice Privileges, potentially at a better value (particularly if you’re transferring 1:2 from Citi ThankYou Rewards).
I doubt the stars will align to make this one work for me, but I’m sure it’ll work out nicely for some.

The list of participating properties (107) that you can make a reservation at using the MKTCYB code isnt all that impressive. Not a single Vegas hotel.

The very best use of iPrefer points are their auctions. Fantastic offers on properties all over the world. Hopefully these ponts can be used towards auctions, all in on this deal thanks!
Thanks for the article mate! I am based out of India and sadly Indian properties are not a part of participating property!
