Radisson Rewards Americas is another hotel loyalty program that’s just launched a new promotion but unlike Marriott’s poor offer, it’s a pretty good promo.
The Deal
- Earn 7,000 bonus points per night when staying at Radisson Rewards Americas properties.
- Direct link to registration.
Key Terms
- Registered members are invited to enjoy 7,000 Radisson Rewards Americas bonus points (up to 70,000 total points) for each consumed night (up to 10 nights) on a stay booked between August 30, 2021 and November 22, 2021 (“Booking Period”) and consumed between August 30, 2021 and December 12, 2021 (“Stay Period”) at participating Radisson Individuals, Radisson Blu, Radisson RED, Radisson, Park Inn by Radisson, Park Plaza, and Country Inn & Suites by Radisson hotels in the United States, Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean. Promotion eligibility, points, and Elite status are non-transferable.
- To be eligible for the Promotion, you must: (i) be a Radisson Rewards Americas member OR become a Radisson Rewards Americas member by enrolling in the Radisson Rewards Americas program via www.radissonhotelsamericas.com/en-us/rewards/offers/gift-card-offer; (ii) register online www.radissonhotelsamericas.com/en-us/rewards/offers/gift-card-offer for the Promotion prior to checkout of the first Eligible Stay. Members who enroll in the Radisson Rewards Americas program using the link above are not required to register for the Promotion prior to checkout; (iii) book your stays under the eligible Promotion rate(s); (iv) provide your Radisson Rewards Americas member number at the time of reservation or at check-in for each Eligible Stay; and (v) complete stays of one or more nights (up to 10 nights) during the Promotion Period. Pre-existing reservations for stays during the Promotion Period are not eligible. Please note, you must meet the eligibility requirements for booking the Promotion in order to book an Eligible Stay.
- “Eligible Stay(s)” means one or more consecutive Eligible Nights at the same hotel, regardless of the number of check-ins or checkouts that occur during that stay. “Eligible Nights” means a night at a Radisson Hotels Americas property that is booked at an Eligible Rate.
- All stay(s) and night(s) must be booked via an eligible booking source as defined in the program Terms and Conditions. See the Radisson Rewards Americas Terms and Conditions for more information. Both the check-in and checkout dates of the Eligible Stay(s) must take place during the Promotion Period. Eligible members only need to register once but must register before checkout of the Eligible Stay for that stay to count for the Promotion.
- The total number of bonus points received from this promotion is the amount which is required to be redeemed for a $10 gift card. The $100 gift card threshold is achieved by receiving 70,000 points and redeeming for ten (10) $10 gift cards from participating retailers. Terms and conditions apply to gift card options. See card for details.
Quick Thoughts
This new Radisson Rewards Americas promotion is pretty rewarding considering the bonus points are awarded per night rather than per stay. The Reasonable Redemption Value of 7,000 Radisson points is $23.80 which is a decent return on cheaper stays.
Something important to note is that the terms exclude previously booked stays from earning bonus points from this promotion. If you already have any stays booked through December 12, it’d be worth checking to see if the price has gone up since then. If not, you could rebook to take advantage of this promotion and cancel your original stay provided you didn’t book a non-refundable rate.
Radisson is framing this promotion as giving the opportunity to earn up to $100 in gift cards. That’s based on the fact that you can redeem 7,000 points for a $10 gift card and there’s a limit of 70,000 bonus points that can be earned during the promotion period. However, that’s only 0.14cpp of value and so would be a poor redemption option – redeeming points for stays is much better.
If you’re planning a stay by the end of September and have a Chase United card, this promo will stack nicely with the United Visa Rewards offer for Radisson in the MPX app. That’s giving 37x MileagePlus miles per dollar and, seeing as it’s a card-linked offer, won’t conflict with this promotion. You can also earn additional cashback when clicking through from a shopping portal before booking your stay.
This promotion certainly isn’t mattress run-worthy, but if you’re able to stack 7,000 bonus points per night, 37x MileagePlus miles per dollar, 6% cashback from a portal and standard Radisson Rewards Americas earnings, a one night stay could come close to paying for itself in terms of the value of the points, miles and cashback you’ll earn.
One thing to note is that this promotion seems to preclude you getting a discount rate at the hotel. I have a reservation for the Radisson in Guayaquil in November that I paid 15,000 points for, but I thought maybe it would make sense to replace that with a paid stay and get the 7,000 point promo. But when I do a search on the Radisson site, I see several options for the room, including:
Members Only Look Ahead – $49 (free cancellation until 3 days before)
Semi-flexible rate-members – $59.50 (free cancellation until 3 days before)
7K Bonus Pts/$10 Gift Card – $70 (free cancellation until 1 day before)
This makes me believe that the first two rates are NOT eligible for the 7K bonus points. There are a bunch more rates listed, but only one has the 7K Bonus Points listed.
After taxes, that $70 rate becomes $87.90 which is not worth the 22K points I’d essentially be buying–the 2 extra days of cancellation isn’t worth much to me. The $49 rate is $62.28 after taxes which is far more compelling when comparing vs 22K points.
Am I looking at this right or would I get the 7K points with the $49 rate too?
Hmmm, that certainly makes it look like you’d need to book the $70 rate which is surprising as I’ve not known Radisson to run promos in this way before.
The $49 rate should be an Eligible rate under the T&C right?
Also, if your stay is before Sep 12, this promo should stack with the previous 2X points promo.
Separate question: Why don’t award stays count for this promo?
The fact that the site explicitly calls out the 7K promo under one rate but not others gives me pause.
The T&Cs say:
To be eligible for the Promotion, you must: (i) be a Radisson Rewards Americas member OR become a Radisson Rewards Americas member by enrolling in the Radisson Rewards Americas program via http://www.radissonhotelsamericas.com/en-us/rewards/offers/gift-card-offer; (ii) register online http://www.radissonhotelsamericas.com/en-us/rewards/offers/gift-card-offer for the Promotion prior to checkout of the first Eligible Stay.
I’d argue that part iii here is what is screwing me (and likely all of us) over. It has to be booked under an eligible Promotion rate. And those are explicitly called out and don’t include discounts.
My MPX offer disappeared. I know I had it. I had made a reservation but ultimately cancelled it and no charge appeared on my card. Did anyone else’s MPX offer also disappear?
It’s still showing on my account. I wonder if a pending transaction when you first made the reservation made it disappear.
I still can’t see all the reservations I had made at the beginning of the year for the December trip in Asia.
I can neither see the reservations nor am I able to cancel them and put the points back in my account.
Radisson Rewards(and Americas) have royally screwed their customers
Do you have a separate Radisson Rewards account (i.e. one for the rest of the world rather than for Radisson Rewards Americas)?
Yes I have Radisson rewards account and as well Radisson rewards Americas account. Out of 10 reservations, only 2 showing up in the Radisson rewards account(Rest of the world), other 8 reservations are not showing up. I have called both Radisson rewards and Radisson rewards Americas countless times and have spoken to them for 10s of hours and emailed the customer service too. No one knows what is going on or how to fix it.
Wow, that’s terrible.

Each time I have called and had issues I have asked to speak to a manager, but they are never available.
I have spent hours on the phone on hold waiting to speak to someone that can help me. Anyone with the Americas organization says they can’t help me. I tried calling both the Greece customer service (CS) number and the hotel without any luck. I ended up speaking with someone by calling the Great Britain customer service number on 30 Jun after a long hold. They were able to cancel the reservations and told me that the points would be deposited to my original, “Americas” account.
However, nearly a month later, I still have not received my points. I spent 2 hours on hold with the GB number again only for them to tell me that I need to speak with “member services” and that they are currently closed. After complaining about all of this, my information is supposed to be sent by the CS rep to Member Services, and they should call me if they have any questions. I have also submitted this request online without any resolution thus far.
Overall, this transition has been terribly managed, and I will not be focused on using Radisson in the future.
I have seen comments from users in Flyertalk speak of their nightmare with this split and how they are unable to get their points back in either of their accounts after cancelling their award reservations.
