It’s rarely possible to earn rewards on Amazon purchases through a shopping portal, so it’s interesting that Rakuten is offering the ability to do that for some customers at the moment.
Lucky Rakuten members are being awarded $5 cashback or 500 points (the latter if collecting Amex Membership Rewards or Bilt Rewards points) when making a purchase of $25+, with a limit of three orders (i.e. max $15 or 1,500 points).

Quick Thoughts
With it being Amazon Prime Day at the moment, many people will have no trouble spending $25+ three times to max out this offer if they’re targeted.
An important requirement to note is that you have to make your purchase after either clicking through from the Rakuten app or when using the browser extension. If you were to click through from the Rakuten app and you have the Amazon app on your phone, it might end up opening that. I’m not 100% sure that purchases in the Amazon app will track, so to play it safe it might be worth using the browser extension or just ensure you don’t have the Amazon app on your phone for now.

I don’t know if this has been reported on before, but when searching Amazon yesterday I got a pop-up screen from Rakuten targeting me for 20x on Ulta. When checking the app and Rakuten on web browser I only had 2x showing up on Ulta. Very surprised to receive a targeted offer like this! Are they taking notes from C1 shopping???
