Rakuten has been offering triple cashback at a number of retailers for the holiday weekend. That sale comes to an end tonight (Monday January 16), so it’s worth checking rates because there are some potentially good opportunities there.
The Deal
- Earn triple cashback at select retailers through Rakuten.
- Direct link to offer.
Key Terms
- Expires January 16, 2023.
Quick Thoughts
This isn’t the best sale that Rakuten’s ever run, but there are some good cashback/Membership Rewards rates available. The highlight is Dell which is at 10%/10x today, so that can be a great opportunity to use up Amex Business Platinum credits.
Viator is at 12%/12x, Macy’s and Nike are at 10%/10x, Best Western is at 6%/6x and more. Keep an eye on the terms though. For example, Hotels.com is listed as being ‘up to 10%’. 10%/10x for Hotels.com would be a fantastic return, but when clicking through to the Hotels.com listing it shows that the higher rate is only valid for stays booked in the Dominican Republic; stays booked elsewhere only earn 3%/3x.
Does anyone know whether the dell promo egift card can be used to buy an xbox gift card (assuming that xbox gift cards come back before the egift card expires in 90 days)?
thanks for the head’s up.
Only valid for bookings for the Dominican Republic, eh? That might be construed as a minor restriction. I don’t know why I find that so funny.
I can’t find xbox gift cards on their site. Are they gone again?
yes they are gone at the moment.
