A new Amex Offer for Royal Caribbean appeared yesterday that can earn you 25,000 bonus Membership Rewards when spending $1,500 or more by the end of the year.
The Deal
- Spend $1,500 with Royal Caribbean & earn 25,000 bonus Membership Rewards with an Amex Offer.
Key Terms
- Expires December 31, 2023.
- Offer valid on cruise bookings made online at US website royalcaribbean.com, by calling 1-866-562-7625, or booked with your preferred travel professional where Royal Caribbean is reflected as the merchant of record.
- Excludes onboard purchases, e-gift card and physical gift card purchases made online, transfers/transportation to the ship, MGM Resort International Joint Vacation and Royal Wedding Packages.
- Excludes Celebrity Cruise, TUI Cruises and Silversea brands.
- Please note that hotels, car rental companies, cruise lines do not accept prepaid cards for charges authorized in advance, although prepaid cards may be used to settle the final bill.
- Check to make sure prepaid cards are accepted before attempting to use your prepaid card to take advantage of offers for these merchants.
- Valid only on purchases made in US dollars.
Quick Thoughts
Even if you only value Membership Rewards at 1cpp (cent per point) of value, this is like getting a 16.67% return on $1,500 of spend which is a decent return. If you value them at 1.5cpp, that’s a 25% return.
If you’re booking a cruise costing $3,000+ and both you and your partner have this offer on your cards, it should be possible to call Royal Caribbean to split that cost across two or more cards in order to earn two or more sets of 25,000 Membership Rewards.
Is it possible to book and cancel in the future, keeping the points?
Do we know if purchases made before the cruise on things like the drink package would be a qualifying purchase for this offer? I’ve already made final payment for a cruise in Feb, but could purchase beverage or dining packages now if it might qualify. thanks.
I would like to know this as well, has anyone had luck with adding drink packages and or dining packages
I’ve used it for shore excursions and drink packages and got the offer email
Thanks Stephen. We were just about to pay off a RC cruise. Loaded on our green cards so an easy 59,000 points. Had to play the Add Offer wack-a-mole game for a while to get it to show on my wife’s card.
Perfect timing!
Thank you! Which AmEx cards it showed up on? There is nothing on my and my husband’s personal Gold…
Amex Offers are often targeted and they’re not usually only found on one type of card.
Do you have 100 Amex Offers showing as being loadable on your cards? If so, that’s the most that Amex will display at any one time, so you’ll need to load some to your card in order to see more.
Loaded all and it showed up now! Thank you, Stephen!
Awesome, glad that worked 🙂
I loaded all 344 offers and do not have it. Nothing across all my amex cards. No more offers available. Lol. My wife had the offer. Was hoping to use 2 cards. I will wait to see if tomorrow is a good day to get the lucky draw. Thanks for the wack-a-mole amex offer trick.
