United Mileage Plus Shopping Portal is offering 10x miles at Safeway, Albertsons and Shaws. The Delta and Alaska Shopping Portals are offering 8x as well. This is for online grocery orders only, but it’s not restricted to first time orders. While all three of these brands are owned by Albertsons, it doesn’t look like other Albertsons-owned chains (e.g. Vons, Jewel Osco) are as high in any of the three portals.

Quick Thoughts
Always use a tool like CashBackMonitor to compare rates and be sure you’re getting the best return. While you can’t buy Visa Gift Cards online at Safeway, you can add Safeway/Albertsons cards to an order and there’s nothing in terms restricting them from earning rewards, so theoretically, I think you could time-shift some grocery spend to take advantage of the 10x. Regardless, it’s an excellent bonus on regular shopping, especially when combined with a card that has a good grocery bonus.
saw it earlier today, now appears to be dead.
Safeway Gift Cards seem to be processed by cashstart, I don’t think one can benefit buying grocery upfront this way. Or am I looking in the wrong place?
Thanks. 550 SkyPesos for $50 worth Seltzer with Skymiles Platinum. Too bad it’s only 2 pts on AA.
