Well, this one was unexpected. In past years, wholesale clubs had been a Q4 category on some cards with rotating 5% quarterly categories. It’s not on the Freedom, Discover, Dividend, etc. for Q4 this year, but there’s a new Sam’s Club Amex Offer today that’s even better as it’s offering 4 additional Membership Rewards points per dollar.

Quick Thoughts
With 4 bonus Membership Rewards on offer, this will make one of your cards a 5x card at Sam’s Club until the end of the year, or 6x if you have the Blue Business Plus.
Even better, there’s no limit on how many bonus MR you can earn through December 31. While I’d be wary about hitting this too hard for VGC/MGC purchases due to Amex’s Rewards Abuse Team likely being on the prowl, there isn’t a specific exclusion for gift card purchases.
There’s also an Amex Offer which, when stacked with other offers, provides the opportunity to make a profit when taking out a Sam’s Club membership.
If you’ll be buying online, be sure to click through from a shopping portal to earn even more cashback/rewards. For example, you can earn 8x Avios through the BA shopping portal for the next couple of days.

Stephen, did you not receive my comment, as it wasn’t posted? I was offering constructive criticism, nothing personal. I think the work you, Greg, and Nick do, as a whole, is truly outstanding. That doesn’t change the fact — unless I’m missing something — that I submitted valid criticism.

Fair enough. I just realized I got so tunnel-visioned analyzing the MS angle that I forgot, yes, some of us make “regular” purchases too.

No limit makes this seem like a challenge

There isn’t unfortunately as it’s a targeted offer, so it’s not listed on the Amex Connect site.
I know it wasn’t your intention Stephen, but unless something has recently changed it’s misleading to write to make sure to go through a shopping portal for additional miles or cashback. It doesn’t hurt to try — that’s how discoveries are made — but usually GC purchases (other than GCM, GC.com, etc) don’t earn anything through shopping portals.
The reference to using a portal was meant to refer to regular purchases on Sam’s Club rather than gift card purchases.
Membership payments are specifically excluded as per the T&C + they’re processed through a separate merchant system.
There’s also an offer for an additional 8500 membership rewards per $8500 spend until the end of the year. This can be used 3X. On my Blue for Business Plus, I could make as much as 7X if I did all of my spend at Sam’s Club.
