Sam’s Club is offering 30% off on select gift cards online and in-store today-only (Saturday, November 10th, 2018). If you’re buying online, remember that there is a current Amex Offer for Sam’s Club good for $5 back on $15, so you could stack a few bucks more savings.

Quick Thoughts

The sale was scheduled to go live at midnight Eastern last night, but the site completely crashed. I gave up when it still wasn’t working around 1am and by the time I got up this morning it had come online and some brands had sold out.

However, some are still available online and the selection in-store will vary by location. Most of the selection is likely to be restaurant gift cards or select entertainment (Atom Movie Tickets was an included brand that sold out, a Spotify $120 one-year subscription is still available for $84 as of the time of writing, etc). If you’re buying online, the extra $5 you can get back via an Amex Offer would make the total discount on $30 cards 40%. If you often spend money at one of these merchants, that can certainly be worthwhile.
