Marriott Homes & Villas Chase Offer Spend $100 Get $100

Quick Thoughts

There was a Homes & Villas Amex Offer recently giving $200 back when spending $1,000. This offer isn’t as generous in terms of the size of the statement credit, but the fact that you only have to spend $100 to get $100 back makes this a much easier deal to take advantage of.

It might be possible for you to take advantage of this offer more than once. Although you can only get one statement credit per card, if you have multiple Chase cards targeted with this offer you could book one night at a time and pay for each night with a different card. I don’t think that approach will work with the BankAmeriDeal version of this offer because I think BankAmeriDeals can only be used once across all your cards, but I might be wrong about that.

A downside with booking one night at a time is that you might not end up coming out ahead. I’ve not booked a Marriott Homes & Villas stay before, but I’m assuming they charge service fees and cleaning fees per stay, so booking one night at a time would mean you’d end up paying all those fees for every single night, rather than per stay.

Another downside with booking longer stays one night at a time is that it means you’d be forgoing the opportunity to earn 30,000 bonus points for a stay of 5+ nights. If you need to book a longer stay of that kind, it’d be worth running the numbers of booking separate stays versus booking one stay to see which offers the better return when taking into account the statement credits, fees, bonus points, etc. Also be sure to click through from a shopping portal to earn cashback on the stay(s).
